I think AIM is the best out there. I had ICQ for awhile, but never reinstalled it. O.o

I have Yahoo Messenger and MSN Messenger. Both do exactly what they say on the tin and work a-ok. I did have ICQ for a while, but I gave up on it. Having two different messengers to do the same job is enough already.
Its a bit like having two or three Windchargers when one is enough.
Oh come on..:p

Well, ICQ used to be the best, but it turned to sh*t. Half of the people I know upgraded to the new version, and now I can't talk to them. Either that, or I constantly get messages they already sent me when I start up ICQ.

So I'd say that AIM is the best now.

MSN, it's nice and simple to use, and it's not AOL. Perfect.

Although I do use ICQ and (occasionally - when I can be bothered to open it) AIM too.

MSN by far, Id rather not deal with that AIM pos, the only reason I keep it is for certain people.

MSN is a pain in the backside. ICQ has too many glitches. And AIM is useless at times.

Bah humbug.

The only ones I have ever used are ICQ and AIM. ICQ was the most fun, but I got sooooo much porn (and none of it was good stuff, I checked) that I don't use it anymore. ;)

AIM is the one I use at the moment. I like to give Mirage warnings for no reason, but I've only pushed his warning level up to 67% so far. Anyone know what happens when you warn someone up to 100%? I wanted to test it out but was scared I might get Mirage banned for good. :D

i use AOL AIM, because you can make multiple screen names and I stalk this girl and so I like when she signs on and I can be under a different name and stare at her......

Don't IM myself, but Trillian is supposed to be a useful multi-protocol chat client — might be worth a look.

i used to think that icq was the best program ever made. now i think it sucks. i use aim mostly, and sometimes msn. it depends on who i want to talk to or who i am trying to avoid...

I would say AIM. I have tried a couple of others but like AIM the best. And, you can use it from your cellphone. I chat sometimes when I am bored sitting in the parking lots, or I use it to two-way text message my friends.

I use ICQ for it's SMS service lots, but generally Trillian as it covers them all! AIM is a great IM too, and I use it within Trillian lots. :)
Lets me use all those extra IM accounts I have in one compact install package Ad-banner Free.
Great program and skinnable (Dark-Bevel looks nice with it), even lets you use IRC!

You can get it here too:

Moonbase, .gif's aren't allowed...

Anyway...I use AIM all the time, and it's probably the best one. ICQ I got when I joined here, but it doesn't seem to be worth a ****...I'm probably going to uninstall it and trash it. Yahoo is all right, but not horribly useful anymore, and its sounds are so freaking annoying.

msn has got to be my favourite although most of the people I chat to online use aim so I have to use that as well.
