[Original RPG] Redemption: The Hammer Strikes (Crystal City)

A Quintesson shuttle landed on the now ruined Crystal City Spacedock, builded on top of the city's upper dome. Two Overcharges flanked the shuttle, and landed at his sides, transforming into robot mode.

The vessel hatch openened and a ramp extended, and and old mechanical being stepped slowly towards the ground.

" Order: follow me " ordered the old mech -whose name was Laserwave-, and the pair of Overcharges followed him.

The three figures stepped towards the top dome main ramp, and came down to the First Dome. Laserwave ignored the skarckticons guarding the ramp doors, and moving his one-eyed head he started towards the city's old High Council Chambers.

The ancient building now sheltered the Quintesson Garrison, and when Laserwave and his retinue arrived - crossing the ruins of the former Spiral Gardens- the sharkticons guards openend the blast doors.

" Order: look for the different leaders units " said Laserwave, pointing with his left arm - the one that, instead of hand, had a cannon -. " Objective: I want them in the meeting room at 0:50. "

One of his Overcharge escorts nodded, and quickly moved to perform his duties.

Looking around, the old Shockwave's prototype smiled to himself - well, at least in his mind, because his head hadn't a face - and focused again in his most powerfull belief.

"Loyalty is the foundation of conquest", he thought.

Quint's HQ, Old Council Chambers, first dome

When the meeting with the Quintesson's liaisons, Overcharge leaders and Sharkticons officers finished, Laserwave left his seat and looked with his red eye the optics of all of them.

" Situation: transformer troops are landing on all major Cybertron cities. Quintesson's garrison deployed on all this potential warzones. Our duty is to protect the ruins of Crystal City.
Conclusion: we must relocate all Overcharges in the top dome, to use them as support fighters. The Sharkticon and Alligatorcons lgions will be stationed in the ground dome, under my direct command.
Annexe: the techs must charge and get ready the domes flak cannons and field artillery units. The AA guns must provide an aerial cover to prevent the enemy to land near the city's main dome.
Question: understood? "

The officers nodded at the same time and moved out of the room and out of Laserwave's way.

Red Alert smiled, seeing the familiar landscape of his home planet under Sky Lynx's wing.

"Now, Crossblades", - he ordered. - "Get Spike aboard", - he nudged the human forward, towards the Pretender helicopter, - "and do your recon. Remember, we need to know every possible target, every line of their defence. But more important, we need you to return safely and deliver that information to us. Understood?

Well, then. Sky Lynx, open the hatch!"

Eager to know how the space battle going on now Hoist walked to the back and watch the battle throgh telescope. "What's that? It's just floating and I don't think it's an asteroid." What he saw is Charger but he still doesn't know yet. Then he look back at the others. "Could anyone with a better eyesight come and tell me what this thing might be?"

Charger was floating off line and gently drifting towards cybertron. it was a miracle no one had seen him before.

he had been able to win against 2 overcharges but a third, altough already crippled, had hit him in the back destroying one of the fuel tanks on his jet pack. his back was severely hit and a part of his left shoulder destroyed.
Firebeast had taken care of the assailant but chargers systems shut down to begin an emergency regeneration. Even gigatrons hails hadn't reached him.

and so charger floated gently downwards toward the inferno now raging on cybertron...

"What? Floating, you say?" - Red Alert turned to Hoist quickly. - "It must be the enemy fighter! Battle alert, everybody! Inform Sky Garry... no, wait", - he finally got the floating object into his sights and magnified the view.

"It's not an Overcharge - it's a transformer... In robot mode... Seems like he's offline and freefalling, we must rescue him!

Sandstorm, Flattop, Karrion - which one of you can get him and bring either aboard Sky Garry or here?"

Magnus moved towards Powerglide.

" Go, hurry! " he said, opening Sky Lynx's side hatch. " We're going to land in a very few moments. "

The City Commander then turned to the rest of the team.

" We can't wait for Crossblades report. Troopers, be ready for the disembark! " he ordered. " Sky Lynx, prepare to land! "

Powerglide ran and jumped out the hatch as he did so he transformed into jet mode.It only took a few moments for Powerglide to reach knocked out Charger''Don't worry old Powerglide will get you to Sky Lynx''after whispering that to him he turned on his magnetic couplers and stuck Charger to his haul.Then Powerglide turned arounld and made his way as fast as he could back to Sky Lynx.

"Nice done, soldier" - Red Alert told Powerglide. - "I hadn't asked for you to volunteer because you'd been damaged... but still you did your work magnificently. You can count yourself to be on the awards list after this battle's over, I'm sure."

Then, he turned to Hoist.

"Until we've landed, I'd ask you to patch both Powerglide and... that Decepticon", - he pointed at Charger's body. - "As soon as Sky Garry would land, we'd place him into the CR chamber there and let him recover".

"I agree with Overdrive, Commander Ultra Magnus", - Red Alert said. - "We can land and deploy our forces, but without knowing the enemy we cannot start the attack. I'm sure that Crossblades will return shortly and bring us the data.

If he won't return in 3 or 4 breems, I'll try to contact him. If he won't reply we'd assume he'd been shot down; then we could plan our next actions, but cautiously, as we'd have no idea of opposing enemy forces".

Ultra Magnus looked down at Overdrive and Red ALert.

" I understand your concerns, and I share them with you. But we cannot wait any longer. The other assaults had began " he explained, pointing to the screens on Sky Lynx's cockpit monitors, " and we're running out of time. "

The City Commander turned to the cockpit windshield.

" Sky Lynx, land on the clear in front of Crystal City, three miles away from the main dome, out of their weapons range. Overdrive, prepare to deploy your team in-flight, and cover our land. "

Magnus turned again to look at his third in command.

"Red, call Crossblades . He has until we land to report to us. "

" It's too late to formulate a new strategy, Overdrive. Once we land, and hopefully with Crossblade' s data, we'll be able to form a plan. By now, we must follow what we planned on the Warworld. "

Magnus smiled at his second in command.

" If you need to do something, my friend, you could go for Crossblades, see if he's ok. And you can also gather fresh intel. But be carefull, I need you back in one piece to lead the Aerial Team. "

"Crossblades, state your position! Crossblades, report immediately!!! Spike - do you read me?" - Red Alert was calling frantically into his commlink.

He turned to Ultra Magnus:

"Commander, I'm unable to reach him yet. I'll try to contact him or Spike again, but now I fear for the worst."

He pointed to the rear viewscreen:

"And there's more. It seems Sky Garry had lost his station behind us."
