Stupid Newbe Question!
First of all I am very sorry if this has been posted in the wrong part of this forum - I looked through them all and still didn't know where it should go Anyway, my friend and I were talking one night and he happened to mention that there was an original version of Transformers (the TV show) in computer animation. I told him he must have been confusing it with Beastwars, but he asured me that it was not. However all he could remember was seeing the original Optimus Prime (The truck). Is this true? Was there an original version of Transformers with computer animation? Any details would be great! Thanks
PS Truely great site you have here - thanks for all the episodes (hard going on a 56k )

Wasn't the cube just a fancy way of presenting G1 Transformer cartoons...I do recall the CGI Optimus Prime at the beginning of the show but nothing else changed within the cartoon series that I could see.
Not sure if I'm being dumb here....

The G2 series differed from the original in three distinct ways:
- Opening and closing credits replaced with CGI action featuring Optimus Prime and Ramjet
- The space cube used for scene transition
- Slight editing here and there
Dat's it.

I see...didn't like that cube though...killed the flavor of the whole show.

EVERYBODY hated the cube.

That's it, right?
