A thread inspired by both a 2AM broadcast of the Sherlock Holmes Vs. Jack Movie A Study In Terror last week (well worth watching for a insanely young John Neville as Holmes, and if you've ever wanted to see Barbara Windsor be horribly murdered), where it was the Prince wot did it, and the Michael Cain staring take it it being on cable (where the Royal Doctor did it. And how many historical figures can claim to be played by both Cain and Johny Deep? Even if the one made the Inspector a drunk and the other a smack head.

So, who do you think it was? DUM DUM DUM.

The bulk of my knowledge on the subject comes from having read "From Hell" so I'm gonna go with the doctor dude who was a Freemason.

I think a killer or killers who wasn't caught. Could have been one of the proposed suspects, or not.

I'm afraid not. I all ready chose that option. We're going to have to have a rip-off. Whoever kills the most whores wins!

EDIT: Wow, I've had a few posts that could be offensive to the faint of heart, lately. I actually had to edit one out at another board, it was so bad.

Chances are most of the murders weren't commited by the same person anyway- so you can both be Jack.

It's fasinating actually how many violent murders of women there were at the time, ironically the Ripper crimes probably helped to highlight both this and the general poverty in the area to the public at large and helped affect a lot of change. Add that to the tourism he's brought in over the years and the guy probably deserves a Knighthood.

Of all the takes on who was Jack the Ripper, I like the one D.C. did some years ago when they transposed Batman to Victorian era America.

The culpret wasn't just his long time friend, but was also the man who killed his parents because he was jealous of Mr.Wayne and hated that the lady had spurned him.

The last panel had Gordon looking at the image of a right happy looking gent who was poisoning little old ladies, tried to commit suicide (failed ... distorted face) when caught and was now threatening to poison the city's water supply.

Pity D.C. never followed through (at least as far as I can remember).

Unfortuneately, "Rurudyne" doesn't work as well as "Khan."
