Not great minicon choices, but at least it's not a G1 Seeker...

What convention is this from, or is it just a custom?

It looks like a pre-release of a store exclusive. Those colours are far too precise and plastic-toned to be hand-painted.

edit: There's been a Sunstorm exclusive (of a 'G1' character) in the form of a Seeker repaint and a Heroes Of Cybertron PVC repaint. This is an Armada or Universe character, though.

I thought this was a Energon repaint.

Armada / Energon... I can't see them as separate series, especially with the comic running straight on...

It's as if Hasbro have adopted the Japanese approach to series; Beasts Wars / Machines, Armada / Energon. In Japan, you get things like Beast Wars II or Beast Wars Neo rather than just calling the new stuff Beast Wars.

Well, the auction says it's an Energon and an exclusive toy. Don't know how much the seller knows though...

The packaging looks like one of the Micron Legend packs that had a supercon and a minicon set. I hope they release it that way in the US, too.

You know you all love it really.

What's not to love about bright orange? It keeps you safe on the roads at winter. Plus oranges are orange.

In short: Orange > Not orange. Unless the not orange is a shade of blue. But that should go without saying.

I like it.

Apart from the Street Action element. They suck.
