They ran up huge debts that they couldn't afford to pay; choosing instead to spend money on flash company cars instead of giving it to the writers and artists.

The owners then set up a new company, transferred the assets across and declared Dreamwave bankrupt, thus leaving them the exact same set-up, but under a new name and with no debts to be liable for.

http://www.dictionary.com if there are any words you need help with.

Why? So you can give Pat Lee more money and reward him for shafting the people that trusted him? **** off.

Oh, for the love of...

No, he isn't. He's just frustrated because you keep asking after the bleeding obvious again and again, while all the time refusing to use your initiative to find out the answers for yourself.

Your questions don't need any specialist knowledge to answer: the facts are all there, in the public domain. All you need to do is go and look for them.

For example, in this case you can go to Google, type in "Dreamengine" and follow the link. It's hardly rocket science, and it actually takes less time than waiting for an answer to your questions here.

I don't know you personally - you might be the nicest guy in the world - but your habit of asking this kind of question is getting really irritating.

Is anyone else getting tired of seeing people take the piss out of Thefallenone? It's at the point, where it's really not funny. I'm sure we've all given him a few good ribbings, but it's getting ridiculous, and it seems that a few posters have nothing better to do than follow him around and torment him. Yeah, he could use a few instructions in posting, but he doesn't deserve this crap.

If his posting really bothers you that much, please add him to your ignore list, or perhaps give him some constructive criticism.

Bite me. I wasn't taking the piss, as you'll find out by reading the thread.

Exactly what crap doesn't he deserve? The part where I answered his questions? Or the part where I told him to use Google to find the website himself?

If you paid any attention to what you were replying to, you'd see the constructive criticism that you're self-righteously demanding. If you're going to try and play the valiant hero, at least do it in a thread where your comments are at least half valid.

[EDIT] I'm not going to block somebody just because you tell me to. If I block him, I can't answer the occasional posts that are actually worth it. He's not like Cyberstrike where I can write off everything he says as utterly inconsequential. Remove Cyberstrike's posts from a thread and you wouldn't notice the difference. Thefallenone actually shows signs of creating worthwhile discussion every now and then.

This is at least the tenth time I've seen fallen answer a question which can be easily found on Google, or even the main ****ing sight. At least once he's admitted he can't be bothered to do his own ****ing work. He's lazy, and worse than that, he expects us to type out everything for him rather than using just a simple search engine. If you look, Brend's first response is very civil. Now, the new company...

Since posting that post, I've hit the board "Search" function, typed in the key words "Pat Lee", and half-way down the page is an update on Pat's situation, which includes the name of the new company, halfway down the first page of results. If it wasn't for typing this, I wouldn't have got past the flood-posting protection.

Yes, his first and in fact his second, but the tone does change.

For the third, it's simply giving an opinion. I'd have done the same if someone had asked for the address of a Todd McFarlane site, or those American cocksmokers who sell CDs with scans of the Marvel comics for $20. None of us, not even the mods and admins, have to quash personal opinions to provide information.

The fourth - simple borne out of frustration out of being expected to do this cretin's donkey work. It wears down after a while. I tell you what, you don't like people pointing out he's being idiotic? Put everyone who does so on your ignore list.

Top marks for not answering any of my other points, though. Really blew my argument out of the water there.

Having read the cross-section of posts across multiple forums I just have, I'm getting bloody sick of the number of questions that are a two-second search away, and the "thats not wat I ment" replies to answers.

The new thread for each excruciatingly evident fact in such a way that they can't be blocked on the forum indices is another sticking point. G2 is dark? Well, yes... read it and if there are still any questions, ask away.

This is what rankles. Otherwise I would actually have sympathy.

Exhibit A.

Stick "dreamengine pat lee" into a search engine and you'll turn up more than you ever wanted to know about superstar.

EDIT 2: Very true. I just think that there's a better way to deal with it.

EDIT: @Sociopath: Nah, I'm no knight. I'm just getting a little tired of it, is all.
Got anything else to add, or did you just feel like echoing Brend's sarcastic "Valiant hero?" And was there a point to quoting my whole post, when @Scourge probably would have sufficed? [/Nitpick]

you're right. I was remiss in not answering your remarks about him being lazy and not using a search engine. To tell you the truth, I don't know why he doesn't. He might not even know how to propperly use one.

Yeah, he's admitted to being lazy, but there are lots of lazy people in the world. If he knows how to use a search engine or the search function, it might take a while to sift through all the other stuff (I can't tell you how many times the number one result is not what I've been looking for, and I have to go through 6-10 pages of links that have nothing to do with what I'm actually searching for, but look like they have some sort of match).

Your comment on the third post? Not saying he has to squash opinions, but the "**** off" was a bit harsh.

The fourth? He could have easily just said something along the lines of "if you use google, you will be able to find it.

The thing is, if you keep slagging him, he won't learn. If he doesn't learn, you'll continue to have these problems. On the other hand, if you teach him how to do things, you may find that the quality of his posts increases.

If they show up here, they'll receive short shrift too.

Situation 1

People handhold.

Outcome: nothing learnt.

Situation 2

People suggest ways to learn.

Outcome: ways go unused, nothing learnt.

Situation 3

Having previously been helpful, people express irritation.

Outcome: snarking towards irritated people, troll gets banned.

If already not implied by the above: this has been tried.

Other than remedial lessons in how to type into the search form on this site and on Google, and a thesaurus link so people have some idea what to type into them when their vocab comes up short, it's out-of-ideas time.

We haven't been talking arcane search terms here... there are currently nine threads on this site referencing DreamEngine, most of them relevant. Stick "dreamengine pat lee" into Google and again you'll get tons of info (including interviews) about the Dreamwave bankruptcy.
