Wow! That's actually not that bad.

Quite a surprise really... (That it's not that bad - a sad state of affairs...)

I think it's helped in the photo by the distinctive white spoiler being hidden by the white background. In the flesh (so to speak) it's going to be 10 000 times more obvious it's a blue Hot Rod rather than Side Burn.

Mind, it's still better than those wacky Takara bods trying to pass a white and orange Cyclonus as a Technobot.

Oh, don't get me wrong - I'm not saying it looks a whole-lot more like Sidebrun rather than a blue Hot Rod. But it doesn't do a bad job for what it's worth (figuratively - I am sure it does a terribly bad job for what it will cost!).

And, yes, that Cyclonus repaint was interesting... Why anyone would want to pay through the nose for a random Technobot anyway is anyone's guess...

Come to think of it, anyone who wants one can save some money by just taking their normal Classics Hot Rod and pretending it's the version of Side Burn from later in the series when he's in Hot Rod's colours.

Great idea! If anyone really cares that much about Sideburn...

I think I'll keep my Hot Rod as Hot Rod, and live without a Classics style Sideburn, personally.

I cared enough about the original toy to buy three different repaints. And the spychanger version.

*hangs head in shame*

no, wait... I still think it was a cool toy. Ain't no shame in it.
