Ironhide and Tote the only vans in the village?

Post by optimusskids »

Are Ironhide and Tote the only Vans in G1/G2 . You have plenty of pickups and 4x4 of various sizes but nothing a British builder would recognise apart from these two .

Ratchet and First Aid are the nearest you'd get to your actual stereotypical white van.

Plus there doesn't seem to be anything in between pick -up and 18 wheeler sizes. No delivery truck , no 7.5 tonner . No "florist truck" being used by the FBI for surveillance.

Wheeljack was a Cybertronian van! He was, when he appeared in Season 1, Episode 1. Bumblebee steals rods and slots them in Wheeljack's ample rear storage space, no seats, no windows, ergo van!

When I just got back into TFs I also used to think that Skids was some kind of (deformed) Van, i mean, Cliffjumper never looked like a Porsche. But it turns out the toy is actually very accurate. Well, most Diaclones had accurate alt. modes, as opposed to Microman vehicles.
