Sarracini will be reunited with superstar artist - Pat Lee - whose innovative art style was a principal factor in the huge popularity of the original Dreamwave Productions' comic book series.

"Sarracini will be reunited with superstar artist - Pat Lee - [the git who made him take the fall for such ridiculous excesses as whole pages devoted to Transformers driving forwards. Tickets will be available ringside.]"

Wait, that's not what it says. What a surprise. ;)

Well, I'd given up on the ongoing anyway...

And a notable lack of Mad Brick. I mean Brad Mick.

Interesting...

Probably the one thing that turns me off from buying DW books the most is their incessant self-gratifying press releases. Superstar artist Pat Lee? That would've been the funniest thing I've read in months, if the people of DW weren't actually serious about it.

Glad to see it somewhat. So is Divided Front ongoing then? Or is Sarracini just taking over the rest of the series?Wonder what'll happen to Mick. I hope Pat doesn't stay long on the titles.

I think I'm the odd one out here...kinda like the DW series'...except for the Micromasters run...just thought it was pointless. Poor art detracted from the story which may have been interesting...wasn't paying attention.

I like the ongoing so far, and now the Megatron is back to rattles some Shock(waves) it may pick up.

I cant fault the orginal alt-universe GI Joe/TF DW cross over. Very stylised with genuine characters. And now we have the second volume...first issue is pretty good. I'm looking forward to it.

Finally....bring on the Beast Wars!!!!

The DW series range from good to crappy yet entertaining to unadulterated sh*t. However, even their best books are hardly what you could call groundbreaking.

Not like anything is groundbreaking in Transformers after twenty years. 'Cept some of the design work.

So is Brad Mick just fired?

I don't understand how puting Pat Lee on a comic is going to get the book out on time either... :eyebrow:

May have a bit to do with the Lying in the Gutters rumor...
Basically, rumor was DW has been late paying people, then this happens.

Pat Lee = several people. Hence, they can make it in time.

The best part of that press release is when Furman is called "Transformers' television scriptwirter".

I'm glad Furman's on BW, not only because he wrote for the show but Energon is the only comic DW have been geting out on time lately (even with the changable art team).

I don't think the excuse that they want to put the comics back on schedule holds much water though, surely having a new writter jump on board in the middle of a story arc will create more delays (especialy as "Brad Mick" could refuse them permission to use any of "his" ideas...). When are thses swaps supposed to come into effect?

I imagin he'll be writing BW alongside his other two titles (I wouldn't be suprised of most of WW3 is already scripted anyway...).

Yeah, unlike some of the DW crew, Furman has had years of practise with the deadline thing...

I don't see this changing much. They've picked up one staff member.

edit:

And lost two others. Ha. This would be what's know in journalistic terms as a diversion piece, then?

TFormers are running a possible rumor about Mick and Patyk gone for good. Considering the alleged source of the news, I won't post the link in here, but if you want to see it, check TFormers.
