Third was the rubix cube was third (twas a Toys R Us poll in most papers. Anyone have a link to the whole list?)

The placing is fairly impressive considering bikes and the cube are fairly universally popular toys whist the formies are aimed firmly at the boys.

Still, it does make me wonder if Paramount are begining to wish they'd remade BMX Bandits instead (the greatest line in cimima history: "You're in the poo now sister!". Said to a pre pubesant Nicole Kidman no less).

Well, as a kid BMX was for me what car tuning is for an adult nerd.

Ie. couldn't be less interested. :p

Then again, I was the kid who didn't want a bicycle...got one anyway.

You take that back! That's a wildly insane sexist...

Oh, hang on a mo. My youngest did ask me once: "What were you like when you were a boy, mamma?"

And my Dad wouldn't buy me a BMX.

I can't believe lego was out of the top three..

but yes, I can see transformers, I just bought a reversible belt buckle from a street vendor in Fort Lauderdale (while hammered, but still i bought it) that had an Autobot and Decepticon insignia..

And I wore it to work today!

So good work on us for making it #2.

...And Barbie ranks seventh!
Serves that disproportionate freak right. May the time come when little girls will no longer develop inferiority complexes because of YOU Barbie (dramatically points a reproachful finger at Barbie. Barbie cries in response). Curse you Barbie, curse you! I’m proud to know that Transformers and Action Man made it into the top five, because impressionable little boys living in marginalized neighborhoods need to learn that wars can be fun and exciting adventures!! ;)

(note: clearly the above statement is sarcasm, but doesn’t hurt to check – plus, rubi likes to have fun with you!)
