Mini-Con 10-pack out

Post by Nevermore »

I can't find a thread, so I'm not sure if I forgot to report those here.

Surfaced in packaging two months ago: A new Mini-COn 10-pack (not to be confused with the Kmart exclusive 12-pack).

They're available at Meijer now, which probably means they're a "Market Six" exclusive.

I love Overcharge the taxi.
Looking for a complete Energon Sky Shadow (from Superion Maximus).
Offering: Binaltech Hound, Swindle, Ravage (Corvette), Skids.
Can buy in stores: Robot Heroes Tigatron/Inferno, Ricochet/Predaking.

Hmm. I always think these packs are interesting, but I can never bring myself to pay $20+ for minicons. I'd much rather invest that money into a couple deluxes or a voyager...

Overcharge is neat, though. And I think Treadshot is cool too...

Unless they changed something on the mold (highly doubtful), Treadshot doesn't stand well at all. A simple little flip out heel would have done wonders for him. As it is he's got tiny little stilettos for feet and a gut like Wilford Brimley. Mine has adopted a fearsome "sitting for a picnic" stance on the shelf.

Decent new color schemes, but I'm with Ganon on the minicons. I'd rather have a couple scouts or deluxes.

Hmmm... curious about the Minicons, as I'm a minicon junkie. Will probably get them, though. Overcharge the taxi is interesting, Longview given to the eagle is hilarious.

So... Autobots:
Windrazor
Ransack
Stockade
Overcharge
Sky Shadow

Decepticons:
Scavenger
Longview
Snow Cat
Treadshot
Crosshairs

Yeah, i laughed at Longview as well. Not really that interested in Overcharge, though, but i may be a bit biased as i seem to have surplus of that mold after looking for Detectus.

I'm gonna get this set simply because i can't pass up anything half decent (read: excluding Armada SS) called Treadshot. And i like the mold. Crap legs, though.

Toys'R'Us, Wal*Mart, Target, KMart and KB Toys (when they were still operating) were the "Big Five". Any other retail chains were therefore the "sixth market", aka "Market Six".

The old Universe "Battle in a Box" two-packs were Market Six exclusives.

That is looking pretty good. I am mad that my k-mart doesnt have the first minicon pack anymore, but this other set is pretty sweet and I wont let this one get away from me, besides I need all these minicons to put on my UNICRON !

And all I have for my Minicons to play on is Metroplex... Still, it's fun playing with little mechs.

So... it's possible these are mass release then, or has K-Mart been downgraded?

In stock at Tesco in Longton, Stoke On Trent, UK when I went in yesterday. Apparently retail is £40 but they got them at half price ATM

£40 for 10 mini cons seems a bit expensive imo.

In the Tesco Direct catalogue you can get them for £20 in the special offer section on toys (though it's listed at the £40 in the main TF section so be sure to have a flick). Still seems a bit much to me though, but that's down to how much I'd personally be willing to pay rather than having any idea of how much these things actually sell for.

They're in the new tesco Direct catalogue at £40 reduced to £20

I'd say £20 is the upper limit of what I'd pay for ten minicons. The full 40 is definitely overpriced
