Since comics come out on Wednesdays (at least in the US, not sure about elsewhere), I thought I would start a weekly thread on what I'm buying and my thoughts on them. Feel free to join in, add your own take on what is coming out and what you're reading. Anything comic related is fair game.
Green Lantern #1
Decent first issue. I like both Johns and Pacheco, but this issue is kind of anti-climactic after the excellent Green Lantern Rebirth. Most of the issue is just establishing Hal and some setup for some alien thing. We'll see.
Omac Project #2
Little bit more interesting than #1. Booster Gold mouths off to Batman and shoots him with an energy thingy. (!) I'm always in favor of smartasses mouthing off to Batman.
Flash #222
The Rogue war continues to escalate. One of my favorite Flash villains shows up in the end.
SPOILER! (select to read)New Avengers #5Zoom!!!!
Actual story development! Wasn't as engrossing a read as the other issues though, IMO.
JLA #114
Don't really know why I keep buying this. Its fallen off quite a bit since the heady days of Morrison's run.
Ultimate Iron Man #1 and #2
#1 actually came out last month, but I missed it somehow and just picked it up today. Wow! I think Orson Scott Card is kind of overrated, (A few of his books have been quite good, namely Ender's Game, Ender's Shadow, and Speaker for the Dead) but I've had repeated "yeah so what?" reactions to a lot of his books. But...this story is really interesting, I highly recommend you pick it up. There's a frame of Howard Stark (Tony's father) where he looks a lot like Denyer. (at least that picture on the addl TFArchive pic page)
Wolverine #28(actually came out last week)
One of the better issues in Millar's current run, IMO. When that
