Classics Ultra Magnus with Trailer/armor Gallery.

Post by Tramp »

For anyone interested, I have a new gallery of my custom Classics Ultra Magnus with a fully functional car carrier trailer that transforms into Command armor.

That is sick! Great job!

Agreed, but one thing about it throws me off. He looks kinda squatty...

Otherwise, excellent. I wish i could do that.

There is no getting arond that. IF you want a functional trailer, the armor has to be broad. Besides. Armor really doesn't add much height, if any. It does add bulk though, and powered armor is sure to add plenty of bulk.

Nothing wrong with the bulk. It's the height that I was talking about. Would it be possible to add something under the Base Robot's feet to make him taller?

There is something under the base-robot's feet. He stands an inch and a half taller than when unarmored. His unarmored height is 6.75", his final height in armor from the floor to the top of his head is 8.25" tall, not including antennae. as you can see in this image:

This is about the same height difference between Prime and armored Ultra Magnus as he appears in the comics. Also, as I said before, armor really does not add much, if any, height to the individual wearing it. It adds bulk.Powered armor may add some height, but even then, it wouldn't add that much.

Believe it or not, it isa scratch-built mostly from 9 mm styrene square tubing, along with sheet styrene, hinges, and some gears for ratcheted shoulders.
