I thought this would be a simple task; I've been trying to get some audio clips (clean) of Billy Connolly. Like saya few quick gags... 10 seconds here, 5 seconds there. Can't find any decent ones anywhere.
Is this possible to do without using a torrent/leech site? I only say that because I'm on an ancient Mac and I can't be arsed to find a torrent site that'll work on my old OS.
Getting audio clips ain't easy!

"It's not until you're an adult you appreciate how awesome a dog is. Your dreams start dying, somebody cheats on you, bankers f*** up your pension. Then you come home and that dog's looking at you and he's like, 'Dude, you're awesome!'” - Bill Burr
“I re-invented my image so many times that I'm in denial that I was originally an overweight Korean woman.” - David Bowie
I'd be surprised if there was nothing on YouTube.
For a quick convert to MP3, add 'listento' to the URL and send it to a free service;
eg, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyW0riD54nY -->
http://www.listentoyoutube.com/watch?v=PyW0riD54nY
edit: Google also turned up this for getting excerpts;
http://www.rogueamoeba.com/fission/ (OS X, though, how old is ancient?)

Denyer, thanks so much for that. The convert to Mp3 service is fantastically simple and exactly what I was looking for. You've saved me countless hours of trawling.
Interesting stuff about the Rogue Amoeba link too! I use Audacity for everything whereas Fission could be a good alternative. And yeah, I use OSX Tiger (circa September 2004) for most things. OSX Leopard (2007 I think) for a couple more, though it's probably more sensible that I downgrade to Tiger on the other machine to free up system resources on a fairly throttled laptop!
