Sipervillains needed!

Post by Shrapnel Clone »

Same rules as the other thread, but now for villains.

Only extra condition is that they must not be semi-invincible (Apocalyps, Galactus, Unicron, etc). Thanks in advance, all!

Hmm...

The Crime Master (Spider-Man, early days)
Master Khan
The Ninja (I think both of these were in the comic with Danny Kai-Rand; I've forgotten his superhero name. Iron Fist, maybe?)

Cheers guys! It's gonna take years for me to find out who they all are, but it's a lot easier to look up villains when I have some names :)

Dracula as in "the count"?
Kinpin is definately going on the list.
Wasn't Radioactive Man a goodguy?
Galactus and Apocalyps are a no-no, by the way...
Nimrod the robot from the future in the X-men TV show?
What Scourge?

And I'm starting to doubt the seriousness of the last three answers.... :glance: :eyebrow:

Dracula had his own title with Marvel Comics, and faced off against the X-Men (Bloodstorm in Mutant X?)
Radioactive Man is from the Masters Of Evil. He first appeared in Marvel's Journey Into Mystery title (which later became Thor's comic).
Yes, that Nimrod.
Do you mean Night Scourge? Was he a Batman or Ghost Rider villain? I've never heard of Scourge.....

"Scourge" in the Marvel sense is a bit more of an agency than one single person... he turned up in the late 80s [I think, my dates on comics isn't fantastic], and killed quite a large number of minor-supervillains, including the Melter, the original Firebrand - generally second-raters... he possessed some extraordinairy powers of disguise, being variously portrayed as a man and a woman, as well as pretending to be the barman at a bar for supervillains [kinda] and the Melter's assistant... the guy was seemingly tracked down by Captain America, but someone shot him just as Cap was about to defeat him... the agency was originally a vigilante unit ran by a 50s hero name dthe Angel, and a 'Scourge' has since bothered the USAgent on at least two occasions ["Night of the Scourge", and the Agent's 1st limited series], and a character named Scourge turned up in T-Bolts a couple of years ago, killing Jolt [for about an issue] and Atlas [for about 5], but he was revealed to be Jack "Nomad" Monroe, brainwashed... Basically, I wouldn't use him in an RPG... Oh, and don't hesitate to PM me for more info on the Marvel ones :)

Yep, Dracula was a Marvel Universe character - his "Tomb of Dracula" series saw the debut of Blade, and he turned up in an issue of Uncanny X-Men [#163, I think...], briefly taking over Storm.... as Wolfang mentioned, in the Mutant X universe she doesn't revert back to normal and becomes Bloodstorm.

Ah, cheers. I'll won't use Scourge then, if he is so easily defeated... I mean, what kinda supervillain just gets shot and dies? ;)

Was Nimrod ever defeated? I remember something about him getting blown up but re-assembling himself...

Morbius... Was he the vampire guy from Spiderman? I heard he turned good at some point?

What's up with the two Masterminds? Wasn't Mastermind the robot that build the sentinals? Was he defeated and rebuild?

Nah, Master Mold built the Sentinels... Mastermind was the cheap illusionist who started off as part of Magneto's oh-so-impressive Brotherhood of evil Mutants... he's best known for taking on the guise of Jason Wyngarde at the Hellfire club, trying to send Jean Grey [well, the Phoenix] mad and getting his brain rubbed for his efforts. He did resurface in the late 90s, only to die of the Legacy virus. Surprisingly, there was no public outcry at this...

His alleged daughter recently turned up in Uncanny X-Men, showing all the imagination of Blitzwing 2 in choosing her code-name.

Oh, here's a rarely mentioned villain, who'd come in very handy; Timestopper from Silverhawks. How the hell did Mon-Star ever lose when one of his crew can freeze anybody and anything in a time-warp for up to a minute?!

Stryfe managed it frequently with Tempo, who's limits seemed a lot higher... except when she came up against Pietro. I mean me. Whatever...

That guy is excellent! Perfect for capturing the heroes and putting them in the idiotic contraption that takes a week to kill them (Yes, I'm actually planning on doing that!)

Fun fact; despite Timestopper's incredible power, the Mob always failed utterly to get the drop on the Silverhawks and dispose of them.

The one time the Mob and the Hawks had their personalities flipped; good became evil and evil became good. The Silverhawks were casing trouble in a tavern, Bluegrass actually had a pair of laser sixshooters and was firing like a boozed-up cowboy. The good-intentioned Mob strolled in and politely asked them to stop. They went to attack the Mob, and then

"Timestopper; do your thing!"

Timestopper pushes his stop button and freezes them in mid-air. Then the Mob delivered them to the Penal Planet so Limbo would be safe.

More moralistic nonsense; the moment their personalities changed, their abilities and luck changed with them... kind of defeats the purpose of doing that, doesn't it?
