New Energon Toy - Shockwave?

Post by Bombshell »

Below is the '80's toys cover variant of Toyfare #80, scheduled to be released February 11th. Along with featuring He-Man's Skeletor and GI:JOE's Cobra Commander, it shows what looks to be a new Energon toy in the appearance of a very familiar character.

Bombers Edit: This post links to a thread discussion about the cover, while my post links to the cover itself. Merged on account of those reasons. :)

Glee!

A decent looking Shockwave! And I didn't even have to sell my soul to get it.

[Shockwave voice] This surprise is definitely most welcomed, to give Shockwave a new figure is both desired and logical. [/voice]

Well, it's a milestone issue 'n' stuff. Depends on what price I can get it for in the UK... probably won't be imported here for a while, anyway... only places I tend to see it are comic shops...

Fact: that is a cool looking toy

Fact: it is most definantly a shockwave toy

Hypothesis: purchasing that toy will make me happy

Conclusion: toy must be apprehended.

seibertron added it to their news page - wonder how long before they get asked to take it down again?

I doubt very much that's a custom. The sculpted 'Con symbol, for one thing.

Erm, f_h, is there any chance you could make your sig a little more narrow?

That's either Shockwave, or Hasbro seriously sucks if they name it something else.

This pic wasn't meant to be seen till February 11th. Wizard/Toyfare are currently trying to remove all traces of this pic.

It has been confirmed that it's a new Shockwave though.
:D

I wonder if he'll have a similar role of the original shockwave. Looks nice, it seems that there are a lot of new characters in energon.

That looks rather decent. I might just have to "liberate" the appropriate amount of cold, hard virtual cash from my bank account when that little item makes the long, slow journey Down Under.
