Default G1 Perceptor WIP

Been wanting to get this guy articulated up for a while. Always had some love for the Autobot scientist...
Plan to articulate his hips and (hopefully) the shoulders (though it will be very tough. Also gonna have his head on a ball joint and articulated hands.
Here's a sneak peak at the head. It's the original Perceptor helmet, but with a more accurate face inside it (from an Alternator)

update. Added waist and upper leg articulation, allowing the legs to bend forward and backwards from the hip. I cut out a "U" shape in the existing leg allowing the round part from an existing scale waist. Shaved off the front and bottom of the existing scale waist squaring it off and attached the Perceptor waist front. The hip covers still fit around this, keeping the entire waist/crotch assembly Perceptor parts.

this bitch is done. I REALLY wanted (better) shoulder articulation, and it was a %$%* nightmare making it happen. I had to make it so the shoulders clear the chest, but ALSO so they telescope inwards for microscope mode. There are extended pegs which telescope into tubes, the shoulder has a socket for the ball joint in it. VERY precise and tight fit. Seen this figure done before, and understand why no one's bothered with the arms. Gonna put small inserts under the torso, above the hips to fill in that area a little better...

So, he's done waiting on the (head) casting to dry. Will paint him tonight.
