Cybertron testshots: Super Red Alert & more

Post by Cyclone_X »

Ebay has granted us more testshot pictures of known toys from Galaxy Force, but now in Cybertron version:
'super' Red Alert:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/ ... 23_1_b.jpg

EDIT: New pics
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/ ... 49_1_b.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/ ... 49_1_b.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/ ... 10_1_b.jpg

more Galvatron: (notice the 'not for sale' stamp)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/ ... 2QVBcB.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/ ... 95_1_b.jpg

and remarkably a red PLX Thrust:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/ ... rust02.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/ ... rust01.jpg

Is this just an overstock testshot or will he be rereleased as 'TFU' or toy filler for Cybertron?

Ooh! Override's planet key is shiny! :)

I like the silver for Galvatron. Definitely skipping megatron in favor of this one.

That Thrust looks exactly like the one that was released in Israel. Since Dedicon sent me one, I won't be needing to pick it up.

Red PL Thrust was supposed to be released by Hasbro in the US, they promised it in their website Q&A and all... but then didn't release him.

He was, however, released in:

a) Japan as a "USA Edition" in Hasbro packaging (with the usual "USA Edition" sticker)
b) Israel in European (!) Hasbro packaging
c) Italy (!) in European (!) Hasbro packaging.

That Thrust is awesome, the color scheme is practically dead on.

BTW, you might notice that Hasbro are apparently going to keep the Vanguard Team logo. Chances are they'll also keep the name "Vanguard Team". So Neale, you might already want to start to crap your pants. :D

Is it just me, or does the color scheme for Cybertron Galvatron look very similar to the colors used with G1 Megatron?:\

Yes, I .. erm.. We are mighty! :)

This is almost as cool as Windsheer in RID. :)

(Windsheer was my first mush character back in 1995, the bio, techs, colorschme, and transformation of the RID version are extremely similar... always got a chuckle out of it as it sounds like someone what looking over the fan sites and the idea stuck.)

I haven't seen the team logo, though... or at least haven't noticed it yet....

Ah, no wonder I missed it, just a 'v' under the Autobot sigil. Well, not really enough alone to warrant it's own glyph in the Cybertron font, I guess... unless it's a lot more prominent on the show or something. :)

I like this version of the Autobot sigil - lack only a bird head and three tail to look like my favourite animal (the phoenix - what else?)

Hmmm . . . arm weapon's on the other side. Must be interchangeable, which would also imply that it is removable. Very interesting, indeed. Yesssss. [/Megatron]

I'm really sick of there always being a Megatron repaint, and they simply call it Galvatron. And it's even worse when it creates plot holes when a new series comes out.

Yeah, within the space of five years (in-show calendar), we've got ONE character who has changed his name from Megatron, to Galvatron, to Megatron, to Galvatron, back to Megatron, and now to Galvatron again.

Makes him look like a flippin' retard, honestly.
