Who can the WWE do without?

Post by Blitzwing »

Who do you think is bringing the WWE down right now? The roster is loaded with great talent... but I think there are a few that aren't helping the show at all. (I know that eventually someone's going to insults someone's favorite wrestler in this thread, so lets try not to get personally offended when that happens, ok?)

Here are mine:

Hollywood Hulk Hogan - I know he's a fan favorite... but seriously, what are they thinking? Put aside the fact that he's old, put aside the fact that he doesn't have the mic skills... where is his wrestling talent? He has none. He is slow, he's not big enough to compensate for his immobility, and what is with the hulking up ****? He's not a freaking super hero! Whenever he starts hulking up, I instictively change the channel. His finishing move is a leg-drop for crying out loud!

Rikishi - He was semi-entertaining at one time, but now he's just annoying. He's not a part of too cool, so why does he keep dancing? His stink-face is not funny anymore... its almost as lame as the bucking-bronco. The worst part is, there is nobody that he could possibly have an interesting feud with. Rikishi is boring and unpleasent to look at.

Those are the main two guys that are bringing the WWE down. What about everyone else?

(Hogan and Rikishi are IMHO the two lamest parts of the WWE roster, yet they are both big time faces with the WWE crowds... isn't that weird?)

Hogan, for all the reasons you just said.

HHH (gasp, shock, horror) - He has very limited wrestling skills. Sure, he's fairly good on the mic, but I don't think this makes up for the fact that he can't wrestle. Also, he has influences backstage that he likes to exert, and it's widely speculated (granted, it's not proven) that he's held back certain people (like Y2J) to further his own career. So yeah, give him the chop.

Albert. This gorilla is wasting my TV time. Go away. OK, he's a half decent wrestler for a big guy, but he just is irritating, and will never, ever get over with the fans.

Big Show - They signed this guy to something like a 10 year deal. They try to find angles for him, but it just never works. He just doesn't have it. Sure, he's massive, but that's about it.

He would have worked great in the nWo sadly that crashed and burned thanks to Injuries and X-Pac.

Edge - I hate Edge. No particular reason, I just hate him, always have. Unfortunately he's being pushed to the top now. :( Give that push to Test!

The Women's Division - Every match sucks.

Justin Incredible - Just sucks.

Bradshaw - Awful.

Kane - The gimmick is old now.

Big Show - I actually like Show. The problem is they've messed about with him too much. They should have made him an unstoppable monster from the start but they made him into a comedy side-show act. :(

WWWWWWEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLL it's a Big Slow. That's all this guy is-slow. It's so boring trying to watch him and crowd has given up on him. I remember back when the Undertaker won the Hardcore title and they tried to get him in a feud with the Big Show by having him interrupt a Undertaker match. When he came out, the crowd didn't give a s***. He got no pop what so ever.

Undertaker-Way past his time and way too old. Doesn't bother to sell any moves by his opponent. They gave him his one last title run, so now it's time for him to get his redneck ass outta the ring.

Bradshaw and Farooq(sp?)-They may be over with their beer jokes and playing cards, but keep them out of the ring.

Val Venis and Godfather-Same stale act that they had from way back in 1999-2000. It's over. Get them outta there.

I think the roster they've got can work damn well, if they just revamp their priorities.

Hogan does have a role. After being so dominant before, he's more than a credible way of putting people over. As evidenced by him putting Angle over at KotR. By submission, no less. Ten years ago, that never would have happened.

Don't push Lesnar. He has zero charisma, and is about as over as a limbo dancer.

Stick Benoit, Booker T, Edge and Van Dam into the top line mix.

Change the damn gimmick for Bubba and D-Von. Scrap the cheap imitation Dusty Rhodes, and bring back the psycho table lover. and Brother Love was only bearable the first time around through luck. B'ah.

Stick Regal and Nowinski as a tag team.

Oh, and bring in a real stylist. Not Rico. Please.

Oh HOW could I have forgotten about Bradshaw? He's my number 1 to get fired.

Brend, you don't like Rico? Why's that? I think he's pretty good, and could do well in singles competition. And no, I'm not being contrary, I'm just interested in your reasons and all that.

I like D-Von's gimmick. I find it entertaining, although I too would like to see the Dudleys as a team.

And yup, agree with putting Nowinski and Regal together too. WWF doesn't have enough tag teams in my view.

Don't forget about Angle. He can carry any just about anyone to a good match if he has to or if you stick him against someone with talent like Benoit, the match is gold.

I actually already class Kurt Angle as being in that top field. He's sheer class in every way. Hence my exclusion of him. He's top tier all the way in my eyes.

And I only mentioned Rico as a comment on the stylist front. The company as a whole need somebody in to revamp the look of some people. We've got X-Pac, Edge, Albert, Eddie Guerrero and countless others walking around like they've timejumped from the 1980s. Get with the friggin program already. You won't attract new fans if your talent is twenty years behind the times image-wise.

Ah right. It all makes sense now. Yeah I agree that some wrestlers have a very... ahem... traditional look.

And yet they do everything to make him look like a moron, despite being one of their pieces of talent. And come this Summerslam they'll have him jobbing to someone like Big Show or Goldust while Brock wrestles Rock for the title. I fear this is turning into Mabel ala 1995. Someone who nobody wants to see wrestle yet we're seeing him shoved down our throats. And I get a bad feeling about him winning.

Another person to get rid of-Mark Henry.

Whaaaat?

That's his gimmick. He's the clueless dork. It's fun. And he pulls it off brilliantly.

I will not hear a bad word against Kurt. *sticks fingers in ears* I'm not listening lalalalala

I know, but sometimes it seems like sometimes the wwf is so hell bent on getting someone over(Brock) that someone suffers(Angle). Thank God he's so professional about it. He reminds me of Ric Flair back in the day when he would put people over and have great matches.

They are trying to get the new wrestlers over by beating proven people.

IE Brock will beat the Rock at Summerslam (I'll still hate him)

Cena beating Jericho, that type of stuff.

They're pushing people like Brock and Cena too soon. Even though I don't like Edge, he's been around for a few years and only now is he beginning to get the push to main-eventer status.

Yeah, but how many people actually want to see Brock wrestle period, let alone against Rock for the title? That's the difference between just putting the guy over, and shoving him down our throats.

Yeah all good.

Don't know why so many net people also complain about the Rock being so high up the Roster. His promo's are all full of Fresh joke's even if he does use old catch phrases but name 1 wrestler who ever changes their catchphrases? He can and has produced 5 Star match's and no body can say he has carried over by other's. What he dosen't have in technique he makes up for in althesism and hard work. Heck he Carried Hogan to a very good match this year.

Oh and Hogan has been pretty good this year. Ths fans lover him. he seams to have decided to be good and pass on 'the flame' to the next generation and naturally he sells loads of goods making the WWE money which is a good thing with no future Steve Austin goods on the way.Its nice he seams to have changed and is not the greedy git he once was.

I'd get rid off:

Big Show. Lazy, boring, no mic skills. Why when we have Kane at least.

Lesnar: Dull boring. Not over at all.Over Pushed. Why over so many better and more entertaining wrestlers?
Booker T, RVD, Edge, Christian, Benoit ,

Get the Hardyz and Dudleys back together. TABLES.Give Val Venus the porn star gimmic again for comedy value. And Godfather the hoes or get rid of them.

Make feuds build up longer.

I would get the hardcorn matches turn into some of the old ECW extream type matches, as I've seen some it would make the hardcore belt more intresting and get some mad great matches with great stunts and bumps rather than comedy value matchs we only get now.
