It looks like many of the designers were overly optimistic about how much articulation was possible at the time.

I particularly like 'Dobledealer' although think it was a good move to add an extra 'u' for final production.

And it is interesting that the actual concept sketches don't look out of place next to modern Transformers. I guess it's just the technology is finally catching up with the designs.
