What's with the Dirges at the bottom?

The Starscream that's pictured loose (the one that doesn't look like he's been scribbled on) - is that the US or Takara edition?

Possibly to give peeps unfamiliar with the MPSeeker an idea of the scale?

Could've at least made a stand that said "Skywarp", lazy sods.

I think the Starscream is the Takara version not the soon to be released US recolour as i can't see any of the battle damage/wear and tear on him.

Since I really like this mould it's not even a question as to whether I'll get both of them or not. This Starscream looks pretty cool.

What's funny is the general atmosphere over at tfw2005...about a week ago (when pictures and details of all the stuff hasbro will put out in the following year were posted) many members praised Hasbro for producing an anime accurate MP Starscream...

Now most of them curse at Hasbro for including battle damage on their version.
Few stuff in the UK to trade/sell. Measly sales thread.

OoooooooOHhhhhhhh! Me like so v much!

:D

But it would have been nice, as the_escaflowne_2k notes, to have a stand with the 'proper' name on. Do they not still make Lettrasets?

It's just a sticker. I assume the actual release will include a "Skywarp" sticker instead of the display mockup using a stand with Starscream's sticker.

Heh, heh, the inevitable cries from avid G1-ers protesting that "Starscream doesn't have blue boosters/nosecone like G1. Why doesn't Hasbro love us! I hate it, I hate, I hate it" are sure to follow, if they haven't already.

Then again, my only complaint would be Hasbro's recently acquired "battle worn" fetish that can be sighted on many current/upcoming TF releases. The upcoming campaign of battle damaged figures for the 2007 movie line (Bumblebee, Jazz, and Prime) comes to mind, which look as if some one who had too many shots of tequila got hold of a Gundam detailing pen.

I'm more annoyed that Starscream's still entirely the wrong colour, but nobody's forcing me to buy it...

That's amazing for a toy that's supposed to be a Wal*Mart exclusive and isn't supposed to come out until November...

EDIT: And here we have Skywarp in packaging, originally from AcToys.net:

I would like to see pics too. Maybe Hasbro pulled a fast one on us? This alleged spotting has gotten my curiosity into overdrive.
