Why are Blaster's cassettes farting on the second cover?

The art seems nice and crisp, and it'll be good to see Silverbolt in more than a cameo. Who was the medic patching up Blaster?

Check your receptors. It's Perceptor.

ARRRGGGG. The lack of the shoulder canon and the fact he doesn't seem to kill Blaster tricked me.

Him having Perceptor's head and chest sort of compensated for the lack of cannon...

It's great to see the Duloks coming back, it's about time they left their origins behind and made a play for galactic domination.

I'm reasonably confident Blaster can succeed where the Ewoks fail...oh wait erm, looks cool anyways.

I couldn't even work out who half the foreground characters were in the first issue of Megatron. I didn't care beyond that point...

Ryall has also confirmed that Grimlock will be coming in '08. So that's two confirms for next year!

Next year may be slightly optimistic, given the current situation...

You think Grimlock in the next 12 months is a push?

I don't know, that new chap in the NOOB comic reader thread listed Devastation amoungst the comics he's got, perhaps he knows something we don't.

Especially as it was said that Grimlock's Spotlight will not be right after Blaster's one, but there will be one more between those two.

Awww, Blaster sucks. I could see the point of the reintroduction of the big, played-out characters in these things if it wasn't for the fact they're being written by the same writer as last time, so we can take a fair guess at what they're going to be like... Still, to say something positive about IDW (yep, that's right) I much prefer "new" characters being introudced to the present-day plot in this sort of manner as opposed to Dreamwave's cheap "oh look, Omega Supreme's just the other side of that hill" fashion.

Yeah, the benefit of the Spotlights is that they get involved with the plot without suddenly appearing in the main story out of nowhere.

It's the sort of thing that once would have been the supporting story in the Marvel UK issues.

Indeed, vastly inferior to IDW's "oh look, Omega Supreme's just sitting on the other side of this door".

Nice.

Cover B, though... Those 'bots atop the tower are playing electric guitars, mm? Now, what was that about the Transformers Animated...
