Just how big is Metroplex?

Post by 4th face of darkness »

Hello all. Long time reader, first time poster!

I was just wondering how big Metroplex really is. He is the Autobot city, so would he be comparable in size to a human city?

Firstly, welcome to the board, always great to see new faces :)

As to your question it depends entirely on which continuity you subscribe to (doesn't everything nowadays?)

In 'Scramble City' he was huge, standing well above all the regular combiners. In the US Cartoon he wasn't much bigger than the Taj Mahal and other various world monuments. In the comics, he was only seen once in robot mode (I think) and again, he stood easily 100x taller than any other robot.

kind of ironic that they displayed him so huge right there, but fort max was only slightly bigger than other tf's in the g2 comics.

Obviously not as big as Astrotrain, as Devastator could merge inside him (TFTM) and an autobot can hardly fit transformed inside Metroplex.

Umm, are we looking at the same picture here??

See those little robots tied up in the background (to the right of Metroplex's right knee). Well those are Autobots and they aint the small minibot type either.

Well here are a few more just to show the size of Metroplex.

http://webresources.transfans.com/image ... 87/pg1.htm - Remember Shartikons are fairly big, easily the size of a normal transformer

Needless to say Metroplex is ever so slightly bigger than Astrotrain :)

Ok, according to the comic, metroplex is bigger than trypticon, and as pointed out, fort max isn't all that big in comparison, probably about the same size as omega supreme. In the cartoon, all of the city bots seem to be of comparable size.
