Looks like Bumblebee to me.
Anyway, the chars look to be:
Ironhide, Prowl, Ratchet, Bumblebee and Jazz.
Starscream, Thundercracker, Runabout, Runamuk and Blitzwing.
Interesting...

Slight reservation about them all screaming. Didn't Su do some rather workmanlike stuff for the second DD crossover? Let's hope the series is a little less bland - though at least it was clear, and combined with an actual script, could tell some good stories.
Wow, there's two or three covers there [the Bumblebee one, the Ratchet one and the Battlechargers one] that I'd be genuinely interested in owning because they're actually nice bits of art.
The style seems generally closer to the Marvel stuff, with modern colouring that doesn't overpower the art, or have that DW "too shiny" look to it.
Looking goooood

Interesting. He has the toy's helmet but the cartoon model's face.

I'm more intrested on the story and what the interior art look like than what a bunch of covers look like.

I reallylike Ratchet's new body, but don't like Prowl's weapon. Jazz gun is different, and something like a sub-machine gun for me. Interesting, they aren't only modernising the alternate/robot forms, they're changing the weapons too.
Bumblebee's cover is very nice too!
(Wait a moment...he looks to me like his old bettle form. IDW was modernising the alts modes, right? Or I'm wrong?)
Cool! (despite Prowl's gun...)

I always felt it was a bit unrealistic to have characters sticking to the same gun from issue to issue, let alone longer... sure, they might have a "signature" weapon, but reading through TFU there are a great many weapons that are either impractical or likely to be totally ineffectual.
Mind you, I also figured characters wouldn't logically stick to colour schemes. The only reason they don't has nothing to do with story—humans key memory very strongly by colour, so it's a major part of branding and getting people to recognise stuff...

FYI, the spread seems to be a Wildman wraparound...

I don't know what availability will be like, but I've mailed Steve Bax to enquire whether he'll be able to get them in.

I thought Bumper was already an "official" character since his debut in Dreamwave's G1 vol. 3...

Nice covers (The Wildman one is better than all his War Within stuff combined). And you can't go wrong with the Battlechargers can you?

Brad Prick did. But then Vol. 2/3 seemed to be an ongoing attempt to prove "You can't go wrong with..." missives to be false.
"You can't go wrong with Shockwave leading the Decepticons... Oh."
"You can't go wrong with Smokescreen... Oh."
"You can't go wrong with Jetfire... Oh."
"You can't go wrong with the Predacons... Oh."
Etc, etc, etc.

Dang, that cover has emotion. Those 'bots look really mad.
I also like how the hands holding guns are drawn. One of the biggest problems some Dreamwave artists had were in drawing hands holding weapons properly. They would draw fists and then stick bits of the gun (or sword or whatever) on either side of it. On the other hand (so to speak), the hands on IDW's covers wrap around the gunhilts properly.

Not all of the alt modes, just those that needed updating. For example, Prowl's Datsun 280ZX car mode is a bit dated (I doubt any police department uses such a vehicle now, if any ever did). But there are still literally hordes of Old Type Volkswagen Beetles motoring across the world, even if they're no longer manufactured. A New Type Beetle would look more out of place than an Old Type.Quoth BlueSkids:
