autobots or maximals? characterization in the movie

I loved the movie, but I thought the characterization of the Autobots and the way they interacted was more reminiscent of the crew of the Axalon than that of the Ark.

I thought Optimus Prime was much more similar to Optimus Primal than to G1 Prime. Ratchet reminded me a lot of Rhinox, and Jazz of Rattrap.

If you wan't to stretch it a little, you could say Bumblebee has some Cheetor in him (but not that much), and Ironhide kinds of remind me of Dinobot in that of he is warrior before anything else.

Do you guys agree?

Not really. In my opinion movie's autobots had so little characterisation, that it's difficult to think strong similarities to BW cast.

Yeah from what i read there is pretty much no characterisation in the movie and we all know Beastwars was full of it.
