What was the first anime you ever saw

Post by Transfan »

What was the first anime you ever saw. It's hard for me to remember but I believe my first anime experience was either Astroboy or Battle of the Planets(a.k.a. Gatchaman)

either Star Blazers or Battle of the Planets. I remember Star Blazers better.

Akira. I remember seeing it in the store and thinking that it looked cool, so I bought it. I was blown away (though a bit confused when I first watched it).

Battle of the Planets and it still rocks! Just got my Volume 1 dvd box set and I love it, I don't care if it's not remastered or anything, the old looking picture quality is just part of the nostalgia.

Honestly speaking I would rate Battle of the Planets as the second best cartoon of all time, with Transformers first and Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors third.

Now that was the FIRST AND ONLY uncut anime they aired here in Holland. They aired it about 6 or 7 years ago. And man did it blow the non anime stuff away. A REAL shame it only has 12 eps :(

Hmm..."G Force" and "Voltron"?

That was back when Cartoon Network was starting out, back in '97.

"Real" anime-

"Venus Wars." Hail Ishtar.
