So, Cyberverse Abominus...

http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-new ... ve-176810/

The combiner set itself is a Target exclusive, but "Sinnertwin" and Hun-grrr are being released in the first two waves of Beast Hunters Legion toys so I'm assuming that all five will be available at retail eventually.

I'm not a huge fan of Cyberverse or combiners, honestly, but these little guys look pretty cool. The colours are a bit off on Rippersnapper and Hun-grrr, but all five of them are good homages to the original designs. And in spite of being in the hit-or-miss Legion size the "limb" Terrorcons are all a quantum leap better than the bricky G1 toys.

Yeah, the combined mode is clearly an afterthought, but the individual figures are pretty neat. I like 'em :)

Now, bring on the Monsterbot redecos.

That's pretty cool looking. I've always been biased towards animal combiners though.

I don't really care for combiners, but I want Cutthroat WIndrazor so bad.

I wouldn't have expected Sinnertwin to be a trademark anyone else would be keen to grab. I hope it's a pair of porn sisters using it.

I could see Hasbro trying to squeeze Monstructor out of the mold, actually. Wildfly's just a shrunken-down, simplified Cutthoat (who is himself just a shrunk-down, simplified Swoop) anyway, Slog and Scowl have exactly the same beast mode as Blot and Icepick isn't that far off from Rippersnapper (the new toy's robot mode has a very similar silhouette to his Pretender shell), so you're already 2/3s of the way there. Bristleback and Birdbrain don't look anything like Hun-grrr or Sinnertwin, admittedly, but you can't win 'em all.

Sinnertwin's new transformation scheme makes him a dead ringer for Doublecross now that his beast heads become his hands, but I'm not sure which Autobots you'd turn the other five into.

I'm guessing Hasbro's just trying to avoid the bad publicity that would come from fringe religious nuts boycotting them for naming a toy "Sinner". I can't blame them for being jumpy about such things after the Spastic debacle...

Beast Hunters Shockwave revealed

Post by Kungfu Dinobot »

As I have expected, He transforms into some sort of Howitzer, like the recent Jump Shot. Kind of balls, but that's to be expected with cybertronian modes, or official pics.

Here's a roundup from TFW

24" Metroplex pictures

Prime and Beast Hunters

Generations galore!

Best news for me is that Masterpiece Soundwave is coming as a set with all five cassettes in one package. Score one for the good guys! Also, Generations Trailcutter means an eventual Hoist, whoo.

Do love Metroplex, too. Basically the originally toy scaled way up to be sized appropriately for the Legends class figures they've been producing for years now.

Loving Generations Orion Pax, Megatron and Bumblebee. Springer looks awesome in robot mode.

Big meh on the rest. Blitzwing's not my cup of tea, Trailbreaker never was, and while kudos to hasbro for metroplex, I don't think I'll ever own one. Even at 125 USD retail, due to size and supposed weight I don't think I want to shell out about 200+ USD for a big playset.

Good news about MP Soundwave for US fans, and would love to see the deco on their AcidStorm.

Not caring about any BH stuff besides Voyager Magnus.
Few stuff in the UK to trade/sell. Measly sales thread.

Some quite interesting stuff there, and some probable impulse buys if they make it over here. Not digging the Blitzwing head.

Metroplex looks awesome! He's a must-have and a huge surprise! Really didn't expect that at all!

Blitzwing is als very cool. Springer, Bumblebee and Trailbreaker I'll hold judgement on though.

The Prime line really looks to be going down hill with Beast Hunters - think I'll call it quits with Predaking and Smokescreen if I ever manage to get hold of them. Shame - up until now, the Prime line has been my favourite ever, but those new ones really look rather tacky...

New sale thread added with a range of Transformers including Masterpiece, Botcon, CHUG, RID, Movies etc.

Looking for MP-11T Thundercracker and MP-9 Rodimus v2 (Takara version with as few QC issues as possible).

Blitzwing is ****ing abysmal. Turns from shit custom of Blitzwing to flat pile of robot parts to blocky pile of robot parts! Buy two now, one to play, one to keep sealed! Buy the Overcharge/Sandstorm/Gearhead retools! Keep Hasbro execs in blowjobs! At least Springer wins points for being slightly better and a lot cheaper than that Warbot Defender cluster****.

Nice Trailbreaker too, because it's not just some random black 4x4 with those red and yellow stripes stuck on that might as well be ****ing Ruckus or someone. Got to watch the repaint potential! Everything that's wrong with Generations right there, complete with people going "Hay a Trailbreaker i ned one of those 4 my classix will buy!".

**** this. Over the shark we go...

Seriously dude, you think Trailbreaker looks good? Chest looks s*#@e - at least in those pictures.

I do like the G1-Animated fusion on Blitzwing a lot better than that!

Would love to have seen a Sandstorm though...

Ultimate Predaking actually looks rather cool (after images finally loaded on my phone). Think I'll aim for that version rather than Voyager.

Whilst I am glad to see IDW get some love, I wished we'd be seeing EJ Su designs instead. Only a fool wouldn't appreciate Dodge Viper Hot Rod:(

Totally loving the "Transmetal Talonned Cyclopic Scorpion", I just hope I don't need to remove Shockwave's gun and/or hose for the transformation.

P.S. Well played, Clay, well played.

Ah nuts. Wife's been sarcastic non-stop for a few weeks, so guess I'm just tuning it out now.
