There Deffo was a thread bout this. I remember being told that it was not a homage to G1, rather to RID. :)

It was in with a preview thread for a bunch of them. This is the first thread dedicated to him.

Yup. It's definitely an homage to RID Bruticus, colors and all. I don't particularly like this mold myself, but it's a step up from the RID mold which I can never be sure I transformed right in robot mode (he can stay as the three-headed dog. I like three-headed dogs anyway. Still think he should have been called Cerberus, but this at least allowed Hasbro to hold onto the name "Bruticus"). That said, like his RID counterpart he'll stay in beast mode when on display.

Think they just lifted his bio word-for-word from RID, but that's cool.

Considering my local Wal-Mart is still going apeshit with their "No Ultras Because They Don't Sell At All, Even Though We Keep Ordering Power Rangers stuff and Those Don't Sell at All" policy, I'm never going to see him or the rest of this line's ultras.

Hurray for HTS and BBTS.

I really like this mold, and it'd be nice to have an excuse to go out and buy a repaint of it (without having to go online for the Cryo redeco), but I don't like these colors too much.

Perhaps I'll be swayed once I see it in-person.

Dunno really, like i said in another thread, i think this mold's just too big. Maybe i'd get it if they made it scout size, but anything higher and i think the thing becomes too simple for it's size and cash, therefore, i'm staying far away form this one.

I loved the demonic, alienesque style of the original mold. I like this, though as I posted after the announcement, I think it is a very random homage.
I have been banned from all Wal*mart's in South America, Cuba, and Nevada for being to violent towards people and inanimate objects.

He's been out at retail in Canada for almost six months now, so "finally sighted at U.S. retail" would be a better way to put it.

Horrible mould, horrible colours
looks like a cheap knock-off where they've scaled up a smaller toy, like the ones you'd get at pound stretchers or something.
