Pretty cool. Do we have a confirmed on it? There's a Japanese version of this already, isn't there?

So the American ones are the inspid 'glow-in-the-dark' shade?

Doesn't look too bad. The extra paint apps are pretty well done. Still a bit of a shame about the 'shoulders' in the mould.

Don't think so. They're stored directly in the SQL, and with the large filesize limit they need pruning every so often... just the sigs, creative & writings forums, last time I checked.

F*cking Schweet!

I hope this is for real. It'll end up being one of the more wanted Universe toys. And let's be honest, folks. Universe doesn't exactly have a lot of good toys in the lineup.

Just wondering why they wheeled out all those paint apps for Dev, and didn't bother changing Sixturbo one little bit for Defensor...

Probably because they didn't feel the need to do it. I dunno. Of course, they can get away with it by using the "new body" schtick that works so well with Sunstreaker and Sideswipe. It's probably the only way to defend against bashers who spout numerous "Soundwave is not a tank" rants that have sprung up ever since people realized that a character with a G1 name is getting a new body in Universe.

Besides, they most likely did it to give it a more "Devastator" feel to it, which would make it more appealing to fans, as opposed to Defensor who, like you said, is an exact copy of Sixturbo, a toy that I bet nine out of ten fans don't have.

Has anyone seen any Universe at retail outside the US?

Canada? Europe?

My local Zellers has tons of Depth Charges, Skywarps, Triceradons, Autobot Ratchets and one or two Skydives.

Righty-o... continental Europe? Don't think there's been any stuff in the UK so far, anyway, apart from comic shop imports.

Just had an amusing thought... all those people who forked out loads for the chase figures from the Sixbuild reissues are gonna be petty p***ed off...
