Masterpiece Starscream confirmed, "Transformer Atari", and Binaltech is "Kiss" ?

Online retailers are being solicited BTA Convoy w/ Melissa and something called "Transformer Atari" just announced by Takara.

MP-03 Starscream has now been officially announced.

Release date is September 2006 and the Japanese price is 9800 Yen

Preorders will open later today around $104.99

Also the following Transformers items were announced:

Transformers - Atari by Ozaki Yuki release August 2006
It's being solicated as figure collection. No pictures shown. 3800yen per piece

Not sure what to make of this series.

Kiss - Transformer Convoy x Melissa
Release August 2006 6500 yen

I'm betting this is the new name for the BTA series

Preorders will also open for the Kiss series later today as well

BTA is being aimed at those who like cutesy anime women, after all... so it sounds like they're shunting Metal Pieces Alt. Prime over to that line where the rarity value will have more effect.

Who's he? If he's being touted as part of "Transformers - Atari", perhaps knowing what he's done in the past will provide a clue as to what the line is supposed to be about.

Actually, a Shojo action team of Transformers may do well... particularly as a filler series.. hmm....

Transformers: Atari seems odd. Maybe it's the Armada game being released with some exclusive Minicons?

Shojo is Japanese anime and manga for girls. Cardcaptor Sakura, Fruits Basket, Sailor Moon, etc, are all examples of shojo. Gundam Wing, for its part, has heavy Shojo elements through the series, etc...

I said 'Shojo' ... and all I meant was the bishonen aspect of the characters and the personal (but not sexual) relationships. I still find it odd that the 'crazy' pilot, Duo, was the only one to explicitly get some in the series...

Nah, he was being an angsty dumbass. I mean, he literally had a chance with the queen of the world after the fighting had stopped.

To wit: either he's gay, or a dumbass.

Prior to the series. Wufei was scared of dealing with women, but at least his problem made SENSE.

I never got the 'I want my sister - AS MY LOVER' vibe from that.. Quatra was just messed up all around, too 'perfect' that he completely cracked.

Okay, I refrained from reporting this until I got more details, so...

There appears to be a weird radio program that's going to start today. Title is "Transformer Kiss", and from what I could gather, the concept is that a girl kisses a Transformer which gives him special powers?

This was first reported in the Dengeki Hobby Magazine issue that was released two weeks ago, and more details can be found at Autobase Aichi in the news entry from yesterday (April 02).

Usually I wouldn't report this, but the title "Transformer Kiss" raises the question about a potential connection to the "Kiss Transformer Convoy x Melissa" listing we got last week.

Speaking of, it appears that last weeks listings, including "Transformer Atari" and Masterpiece Starscream, currently haven't been listed by Japanese stores yet.
