I'm not to big on toys bet because of the BC archive metting I am planning on getting a couple. I know I want Blaster and Jazz for sure but can you name any other toys that are really cool and such and look good? (not gestalts)

I'd go for Slag or Grimlock personally... although that Diaclone Swoop which Devv put up pics off gave me a better appreciation of the toy than I had previously...

If you can get more than one, the Dinobots all pose really nicely together...

...add into that my general dislike for TFs who look best when suspended with fishing line from the ceiling (waaaaay too much hassle, especially for anything breakable and/or expensive), and there's my appraisal in a nutshell.

Worth getting if you don't want to TF him too much, though, I would guess.

Actually, that's what I like about all of the Diaclone moulds... the lack of detailing on most subsequent TFs really let them down, IM-not-so-HO.

The only trouble is that some of them (eg, Sludge) have parts which you actively have to bend slightly in order to TF him, which isn't very good for the plastic.

Hmm, I had Ramjet as a kid and always found Thrust and Dirge more interesting - I think it;'s a child's wanting-what-he-hasn't-got thing hijacking my subconscious and giving me something against Ramjet...

And Dirge is ugly. Really. Thrust is cool, but there's a reason Takara only did Dirge as a mailaway...

Well, when i go down to the afformentioned BC archive meeting, im pickin up a soundwave, maybe a replacement prowl, reissue megs, All dinos minus slag, reissue magnus, reissue hot rod, superion and whatever RiD or BW i can find that I dont already have...
I already got four hundred bucks saved for this meeting....

well thats a bad way to have an outlook on TF toys. RID is a great line.

And you do know that Blaster is one of the crappier season 2 bots as a toy, dont you? On most the tape door won't or shouldnt open, not sized correctly, the head looks like crap, and he has very little articulation. Mainly on the head and arms.

Oh and on Jazz, the windshield is much like Prowl, Bluestreak, and Smokescreen's, it breaks off very easily

But thats my view on the toys
