New Arrival!

Post by DBF »

We were lucky enough to have our second baby over the weekend: Jakob arrived at 18:35, fit and healthy, and extremely quickly! Final stage of labour lasted 2 hours, with Jakob arriving ten minutes after the waters were accidently broken by the midwife.

Me and Tim will continue posting here, but for the next few days we may be less prompt than we are famous for: anything needs doing fast with our guys, like they get shot at or anything, then ask a Mod to do whats necessary, we'll understand.

Love to everyone, big drinks all round! :D

Congrats! Make sure to start him quick on those typing lessons! ;)

I swear someday I'll have a whole family playing this thing. It'll be just like the Jackson 5 with keyboards.

Cheers guys

It's been a fun first few days: Luca hasn't been too jealous of his new little brother, but there have been the odd moments when he's stared daggers at the little guys. I just hope the sibling rivalry doesn't carry on to when they share a room!

Apparently when my sister was born i got a present from the "baby" i think it was a Corgi roadsweeper which apparently helped keep the jealousy down .

We've tried the same thing, and it seems to have worked: well, kind of: the only issue is that Luca is now getting a bit used to presents!

It's his birthday today, and he got a few gifts "from the baby" from a few people when Jakob arrived. This plus Christmas, means we're in for something like present cold turkey in the new year!

Congatulations you two!

Second flaw in this system: we were changing the little darling today, and he's had that many cakes and treats, he's gone up a size in a month!

I was going through old GD threads and read the one where Verytired announced your previous child, and someone (Sassy, I believe) said that now she knew why he was very tired, took up half the page with blank space, and said "not getting enough sleep, what'd you think I meant?" or something to that effect.

If I find the link, I'll edit this post later.
