Alan Moore is going into semi-retirement from comics!

Post by Cyberstrike nTo »

From Wizard #141 page 30
I'm going to be wrapping up most of the ABC line-at least my part of it-then I'm going ibe going into semi-retirement from the comics industy. I just want to some other things and not have deadlines hanging over me all the time.-Alan Moore

I can understand it it still is sad that he won't be writing comics much anymore. :(

Edit: For those of you who don't know Alan Moore he is a British writer that gave comics some much needed balls
Here is a small sample of his work:
Watchman
Miracleman
From Hell
The League of Extraordairy Gentlemen
Supreme
the ABC line of comics
Swamp Thing
and many more!

Edit 2: Wizard will have more on his "retirement" in Wizard #142

Yeah, but bear in mind that this isn't this first time he's done this. He'll most likely be back once he has another good idea.

Semi-retirement? Does that actually mean anything? To me it says he won't be writing comics when he's not writing comics. I thought writers of his stature were semi-retired anyway, i.e. they write when they want to write, rather than working for a company and skipping from book to book or whatever.
