TWO Hasbro TRU reissue Astrotrains?

Post by Nevermore »

e-Hobby exclusive "Anime" Astrotrain colors
Regular Takara reissue colors

Pics courtesy of P.PRIME of TFclub.com. Mind you, he usually gets HASBRO protos, not TAKARA ones.
Looking for a complete Energon Sky Shadow (from Superion Maximus).
Offering: Binaltech Hound, Swindle, Ravage (Corvette), Skids.
Can buy in stores: Robot Heroes Tigatron/Inferno, Ricochet/Predaking.

Hmmm.

That pic looks like a Photoshop job to me - and not such a good one at that. But maybe it's just the vivid purple bleeding through on the image. Either way, cool colour scheme.

Not sure if the colors of the photo are off or not, but my eHobby Astrotrain has a flatter gray color and a much "pinker" purple. Hard to explain, but comparing them makes me think either the photo is way off or they're not the same.

I'd wait until box art shows up before I started saving my pennies...

You can find the cartoon colored Astrotrain on a couple of sites. I found one at It Came From Japan . But like BigMaki says it doesn't show box art :glance: . But at least it is another pic :D

That's the e-Hobby version. We know it exists. Here you can even see the box.
But this thread is NOT about the e-Hobby version. It is about a potential Hasbro release of the e-Hobby Version as well as the regular Takara reissue version.

Once again, for those who still don't have a clue:
Regular 1985 Hasbro Astrotrain
2004 Takara reissue Astrotrain, virtually identical to 1985 Takara Astrotrain
2004 e-Hobby exclusive "Anime" Astrotrain
