Damn! And I already bought one. If it's the metal version, then I'll get it and sell my original, if not, well...there's really no point in me buying it then.

I'm in split minds. One one hand, I like combiners in general...on the other, I'm not particularly fond of Predaking. (yet I like Superion...not sure why, though)

That said, maybe it's a sign that there'll be more 'big' releases in future...here's hoping for G1 Omega Supreme...

Do you like airplanes? I actually only like Air Raid. I really only want predaking because he's made of animals, and he's huge.

You know what would be cool? A sequel to the Beast Wars, starring the protoforms that were never recovered.

Check out the Dreamwave Transfrmers Summer Special #1, specifically the Beast Wars segment. It looks like the upcoming Beast Wars comic is going to cover that.

Did I miss something?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought all the orginal G1 combiners molds were damaged beyond repair, lost, or destoryed.
Except for Bruticus/Ruination and five out of the six Seacons

Well, the soundwave mold was destroyed, too, but they resurrected it because there was enough interest.

Not particularly. I think I like Superion because of the funky headgear, and in the cartoon he always had a big honkin' black cannon stuck to one of his arms that looked really cool.

Wrong! The reissued Soundwave is actually the Soundblaster mold. Where have you been?

And most likely the Constructicons and others... they were released a lot in Europe. Thing is, there's no real market for them—too many clones produced by companies operating out of jurisdictions Takara can't easily touch.

Thought it was a mish mash of the original and sb. I heard they were both damaged. Could be wrong.

BBTS also has Predaking up for pre-order. Too bad they're off my reliable list these days.

Already got a Predaking. I might pick a new one up if it's a metal one...

$169.95 for an ugly piece of neon orange plastic? I think I'll pass.

I admit to having a bit of scepticism about the whole thing anyway. Takara's avoided reissuing large moulds ever since God Ginrai bombed, after all. This is one I won't believe until there's some official word.

I like the idea of an American reissue more. I bet that price would drop for a Hasbro release. This would also be another oppurtunity for the US company, to release another Japan only toy like Ginrai. Predaking never officially made it onto Western retail toy shelves. A chance like this could be a good thing for a TRU exclusive.

Predaking was never released as a gift set. I believe the US rundown goes like this: Devastator, Defensor, Superion, Computron, Menasor, Abominus, Piranacon.
