I like to trawl their 'alternative' section every so often to pick out some bands to watch out for (usually when they finally break in the UK — there's a lot of US talent which shows up there in advance of publicity, such as Newfound Glory)... this represents the better pop-punk stuff in my latest session:

In particular, Finch and Something Corporate seem to have consistently decent material. They're all on Drive-Thru records, by the way, I didn't just aim randomly.

So... who else likes to do a bit of on-line 'blind-tasting' of music without necessarily seeing an advert or a review first?

Surely not I.

Although if I do find a Trance album I will dl a few songs to see what its like, if its good I will dl all of it.

And if I find any jpop ones, instant dl.

A friend of mine from Australia does some dance/techno tunes on there, albeit his titles and so on are a bit odd. Not to mention the image of a Smiley Sperm for his logo. lol

If it were not for my cripplingly slow dial-up, I would be there. I have visited the site a few times before, but if I'm going to download anything then for now it has to be things I know.

However, in real life, I will happily give almost anything a try, music wise. Not to say that i'll like it, but i'll give it a listen certainly.

Indeed, Eminem only got where he is today because someone heard that I didn't like him.
