Random Trivia

Post by breegfan »

This is a thread on random trivia. I copied this from a forum which later banned me for violating its rules this year. All you have to do is answer a given question on anything and then, after the answer is confirmed, it's the answerer's turn to ask another question.
My first question - What is a briquet?

Rodimus Convoy, you win.
Briquet also refers to a curved, short-bladed sabre. It is usually carried by Napoleon's infantrymen.

My next question - How many leopard subspecies that live today?

Remember, one breed of clouded leopard is now considered as genetically distinct as a lion from a tiger.

Also, here's a hypothetical ...

If the animation for this SONG featured G1 Shockwave, which TF would be "Zero" with a bag over his head?

Since you didn't ask a question, is it my turn to ask one?

Rodimus Convoy,
I think we should answer Rurudyne's question. When his question has been answered, it's your turn then.

Rodimus Convoy does not need nor require permission to ask questions- A definite advantage of being under Doom's tutelage.

Doom has a question (and will ask when he feels)

-what famous B side did Iron Maiden perform live and release in 1982 that was never actually on Number of the Beast?

Actually, I think Soundwave would be a fembot magnet compared to Shockwave.

But you're right that a hypothetical has more than one right answer.

My own thoughts revolve around character traits that ladies seem to be indifferent to.

For example, we know that raging egomaniacs can get girls, so Starscream may be in the clear. Ditto for stoic soldiers like Ultra Magnus or Ironhide. Cute sells too which bodes well for Bumblebee. Moody would work for Ravage. And so forth.

As I'm not knowledgeable on Iron Maiden I haven't a clue about Doom's pondering. Sorry.

Actually, That is Incorrect, but Kudos to Sadie for the effort.

Maybe I worded this incorrectly: Iron Maiden released 2 singles off the Number of the Beast Album in 1982- there was a B Side to one of these singles that was played throughout all the concerts on the tour in support of that album, but it was never actually on the album.

Breeg, you claim the Iron Maiden signature- let's consider this a test of your, ahem, metal <mettle>.

Number of the Beast and Run to the Hills.
- there was a B Side to one of these singles that was played throughout all the concerts on the tour in support of that album, but it was never actually on the album.

B-Sides were Remember Tomorrow and Total Eclipse, respectively.

Total Eclipse was on a reissue of the album, with versions of both tracks being included on the 1995 reissue.

Therefore... the answer is... uhm... "it's a trick question"?

Yes, you are correct in respect to part of your answer- the song I was after was Total Eclipse. It wasn't really a "trick" question, but more a test of Mr. Breeg's knowledge of Maiden.

Remember tomorrow was another B-side, but it was actually just a live version of a song that was officially released off their debut album.
I've been a Maiden fan since 1986......and I stayed with them throughout all these years.

Cool. Thought you may have been being sneaky, as both tracks were included in repackages.

Aha. Making it an album track that was performed live. With the latter inclusion of a live performance of a b-side (rightly) doing nothing to change that.

Whose turn now?
