In Beast Wars Dinobot said Starscream was the most notorious traitor of them all. So who would be the second most notorious, behind Starscream?

The Insecticons have stolen Energon from the Decepticons in "Plague of Insecticons", after that they tried to take over in "The Insecticon Syndrome"..... Sounds good enough for me.

Well, I'm gonna say Shockwave as he was the only Decepticon to actually usurp leadership from Megatron and not have it just sort of fall into his lap.

I wish more people thought of the comic when they do these things. Y'know Beast Wars borrows heavily from the comic continuity too...

Didn't Zarak/Scorponok take command over from Shockwave in the comics?

If I remember correctly, Shockwave was presumed dead when he crashed to Earth after Club Con took off or something, and Scorponok took over in the mean time... then Shockers showed up again, gathered some followers, and started Civil War 2.

I think it must be Swindle alone not all the combaticons, because he tried it a couple of times more.

Well, I didn't seperate the groups because that list would be even longer.

All the Combaticons were rogue Decepticons and imprisoned. They all must have had to have done something to warrant it.

Noo! Soundwave was the second cunniest guy in comics, after Screamer of course. The way he played between Shockwave and Megatron, and then finally he and Starscream ditched them both.

In cartoon, I say Insecticons.

I'm going with the Insecticons here. They were a more independant faction of the Decepticons and generally were out for their own gain; energon.
