Hasbro's within their rights do have them shut down, but it's not as if they're offering the items for sale themselves...
It's generally assumed that someone officially reported this to Hasbro's legal department, in which case they'd have no other choice but to react if they don't want to lose their trademarks.
Aside from this - realistically, no matter how you view it, what the guy did was illegal. If only selling sticker sets to toys currently being reissued.

And that's all well and good until you realize that other sites, of which have been in business far longer, are still up and running. They're all doing the same thing...except for the Botcon exclusive.
Anything else that might be considered 'illegal' I believe to be tertiary to the real reasons as to why the site was closed, even if Hasbro claimed everything else (stickers of 'reissued' items as mentioned) to be the true reason. While Hasbro is within their rights to shut the two sites down, they've been rather easy about infingements on the internet. (save a few issues lately that actually have something to do with current marketing conflicts) So this all seems rather odd to me.
