Seeing Springer makes me wish for a proper Springer Classics figure more than ever.

These look great though and, dare I say it, way more interesting than the seekers.

I didn't know you could do that with the wavecrusher. That makes it quite a bit more useful, now. I need to dig BB and Cliffjumper out of the boxes I packed them in, when I moved.

Hmmm . . . you know, the fact that they're not packing it with that horrible pepsi twist makes me less aversive to the product. Not enough to make me want it, mind you, seeing as I have the original figure, G2 and the new years reissue, but if I didn't all ready have that mold, I might be inclined to buy it, though.

According to Seibertron, Dirge from the boxset might come with two of the same missile launchers, so make sure to check yours and if necessary, trade marts with someone who got a dounle of the opposite launcher.

Ah. Any word on if the loose ones are like that, too?

Hopefully, BBTS gets a few Weirdwolf sets in stock, and no, I won't shut up about Weirdwolf. ;) The Cybertron Snarl mold is perfect for him.

News from the Hasbro Tour, courtesy of Sol Fury:
http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=139273
- Movie Pre-production table - lots and lots of stuff on show. You got to see the process where they started out from and what the went through in the evolution. Interesting note for some of you who like to collect the Movie cast - Arcee and Wreckage were originally in the Movie (Wreckage started life as Stryker)

- Larger Robot Heroes may be coming! Suggested may be a redone, larger Unicron and also a Devastator!

- Some new pre-production Movie toys were shown - A Blackout redeco in orange and white (tentatively named Evac) and a new mold Osprey (VERY cool). Also a new Legends toy was shown in vehicle mode - Ironhide.

- Alternators as a series started out in the US - it was initially developed as a concept by Hasbro then suggested to Takara as a possible line.

- Initially, the Movie TFs did not talk. Hasbro pushed for it. Same with the windows on Prime's chest and Cullen.

- There was a table of test shots shown showing the evolution of the process after the paint masters - Payload was there in vehicle mode, Leader Brawl in both modes, Recon Barricade final packaged sample.

- Masterpiece Starscream is a Wal Mart exclusive for release in fall. A prototype in mock up packacking (very early) was shown.

- Mockups for the Military Alternators were shown - never got any further than mockups made of spare parts.

- Titaniums (6 inch) are going on indefinate hiatus. The five named in the leaflet are still shipping (WW Prowl, Grimlock, etc) but Arcee, Cosmos, WW Bumblebee, WW Cliffjumper and Shockwave are not happening. Prototypes were shown though and they were very nice.

- Prototype of Porshce Alternator Jazz was shown.

- Foam prototype of a very different Energon Prime trailer was shown.

 They're making a FAB Bumblebee? I was just disappointed the other day that they hadn't made one! Awesome!

http://www.tfw2005.com/gallery/showphot ... g/cat/1811

From pda to broken pda and back!?

Kinda wish the Jazz repaint came with the new gun that Final Battle Jazz has, but oh wells . . . still pretty awesome.

I've all ready expressed interest in High Score. He looks hella tight.

Damn, the new Titaniums look sick. Why is it when Hasbro makes something decent they don't release it or they simply don't get the bloody distrabution correct?
The bunnies, they give me knowledge it is neat.

Collectors' Club roundtable summary

http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=139270
Update from Sol:

lots of interesting stuff come out of this session:

- There may still be hope for the four 6 inch Titaniums (Arcee, Shockwave, Cosmos and WW Bumblebee)

- The Seacons were asked about a couple of times. The response was "Seacons? What are they?" Seems to me that they might actually be in the pipeline in some fashion or another.

- The possibility of getting Elita 1 or Sunstorm as a club store exclusive was raised - the panel responded with a firm "no comment", "many projects they cannot discuss are being worked on"

- Exclusives are hard to do because Takara are reluctant to commit to the small production run. This was the reason for the delay on Breakaway, the club exclusive toy, and kickback rules

- Electronic registration is highly unlikely due to potential problems with processing. Brian Savage stressed that it takes a long time to process forms because of the amount of errors on forms / hard to read etc, in future they'll process correct forms first.

- The club store will NOT be carrying SDCC Rodimus or Menasor, due to the problems they had with Nemesis Prime last year.

- The "cart issue" where something is not removed from stock until you check out will be fixed so it will be removed from stock when you put it in your cart in future.

- The club fiction, "The Razor's Edge" will be done and posted shortly, hopefully in a week.

- Unused Exclusive toy ideas were talked about. Alpha Trion was a holdover from a previous idea for this year's boxed set (hence he is not in the comic, nor counted as a Classic due to the fact it is placed in the Marvel G1 Comic continuity)

- Other unused ideas - Wolfang was to be an on the door exclusive, not Tigatron, also initially last year the other two pack set was to be Terrorsaur and Divebomb, but Hasbro could not find the other Machine Wars jet to use as Terrorsaur so the plan was changed.

- Ben Yee expressed an interest in doing a set of "reborn Deluxe Insecticons" after the Descent into Evil set

- Springer / Cybertron Defence Hot Shot redeco was initially going to be Sentinel Prime.

- The possibility of having a Leader in the exclusive boxed set was discussed. The trade off is that the cost would have to go up, Fun Publications are very interested to know what people would think to having less toys in the box if it meant they got a Leader "because there are some great Leader Class toys out there"

Late in the day, but Weirdwolf is the winner outta that lot! Looks great!

Pity about the 6" Titaniums, but Masterpiece Screamer looks great there! May even consider him, but this year is already rather expensive...

New sale thread added with a range of Transformers including Masterpiece, Botcon, CHUG, RID, Movies etc.

Looking for MP-11T Thundercracker and MP-9 Rodimus v2 (Takara version with as few QC issues as possible).

Check out my new sale thread now!

Also items on eBay.
