Deleted scenes from the movie

Post by Nevermore »

DISCLAIMER: These are NOT the extra scenes that will be in the IMAX version. So please don't complain about "Aww more human crap I wanted more bot action".

Speaking of, Bay says the extra IMAX scenes will "never" be included on any DVD. Yeah, right.

OW. It seems that a few of these scenes are simply from the December trailer. I remember Sam yelling "He's not gonna hurt you", and this shot has clearly been around without a watermark for several months as well.

It's possible the extra two minutes is an extended fight with Bonecrusher and Barricade. If Bay indeed intends to have Barricade return and considers the DVDs the "definative" version of the movie, then he would definately not include this scene on the DVD.

Of course, he could always just put it on as a deleted scene.

Although this post seems to indicate that the rumors of Bay being off TF2 were bogus. Which is fine by me, I think Bay did an excellent job with this movie. (I've said it before, but I think he actually saved this movie from its writing!) So...yea for Bay! :)

:\ I really don't plan on going out of the way to see it in IMAX. What tremendous scenes are we going to miss that renders the rest of the movie "not as good" for not being included? :eyebrow:

Extra Tom Lenk! I know one person here who'd pay good money to see that.
Still, we spent all that time wondering where Barricade went we completely failed to notice Spanish guy vanished...

There's at least two of us.

I'd be up for it as well if not for the cost of getting to the nearest IMAX going beyond "Good" and into "Silly" money. Assuming it comes to the ones over here anyway.

So were you all keeping it secret or did I miss all the threads/posts/mention in the FAQ on the subject?

It got left out of the FAQ because nobody brought it up.

Nobody brought it up because we all felt it was fairly implicit that he was either stuck in sickbay due to his injuries or had died.

The next time we see Lennox is when he thinks he's going hom, but gets hijacked into action. Fig isn't in good enough shape for either of those things, so his absence isn't exactly noteworthy.

I just assumed he was in the hospital or something. But, after I read the comic adaptation, and the "leaked" script, I'm actually VERY glad they cut that scene out. Completely unnecessary, not to mention extremely cliche and lame.

Not to rain on anybody's parade, but in the version of the movie over here, Barricade was seen 'moving out' with the other Decepticons towards the end of the film (you know, when the All Spark is located, and they all 'report in'?), however he is myseriously absent from the final fight towards the end of the film... I thought it was a bit strange when I first saw it, and when I saw the film a second time, there he was! Reporting in! How odd.

You're doing that how, exactly?

Barricade is last spotted in the highway scene, as Bonecrusher advances. This is known, for it is a plotpoint (it's how Sam identifies they are being followed - by recognising the police car).

This is why I wrote a bloody FAQ...
