I officially had the weidest coincidence ever

Post by CounterPunch »

So I was at work today randomly talking to a customer when the conversation moved on to Plymouth, where I used to live, and she asked me what part of Plymouth, because she also lived there 10 to 15 years ago (thats when I lived in Plymouth)

Anyway we started talking about going back to places you used to live to find out they look awful, and I then brought up Gibraltar (where I was born) saying about how since the Navy abandoned it its gone to hell, and then she said she used to live there, working as a midwife in the navy hospital.

At this poitn suffice to say I was... slightly bedazzled, she asked me what year I was born and I told her, and she told me she was working in the hospital that year.

I told my mum and she said that was more than likely the woman that delivered me, as there were only 3 midwifes in the hospital, and the one that delivered me moved to plymouth.

How stupidly frickin coincidental is that?

I almost definitely served the woman who gave birth to me 19 years ago, we both happened to live in Plymouth and we both somehow ended up in the same town on the other side of the country.

Not only I happened to serve her, but shes the one customer I ever mention to as to the fact that I was born in Gib...

Well, if his midwife was also there at the moment of conception that probably takes him into the catagory of "Things you don't want to think about your parents doing".

If I were in his place I'd feel so awkward seeing that midwife everyday if she steps in the store. It's like 'oh, there she goes again, the one who made it possible for me to come out in the world, so I'd better give her a real good customer service' hehehe.:D
I also have this experience but not as freaking coincident as that of the midwife thing. I had this bestfriend of mine in the 4rth grade and her birthday is just one day ahead of mine, were of th esame age, she was born at the same hospital I was born and that was it. So, we never knew about that cause I was a new student at their school, until she became my first friend and it was just later on that we discovered those things. Its like we've already seen each other 20 years before in the nursery section of the hospital. And after 10 years we met again at 4rth grade. :)

That Non-TF non-profit sites may be discussed in the "General Discussions" & "Non-TF Animation, Comics" forums in the forum rules isn't an invitation to hardcode unrelated commercial spam at the end of every post. Rather the opposite.

Interesting.

More interesting. That appears to be an ID/address honeypot.

Possibly, but I'm not convinced -- I think the name being on that second page is more likely to be a coincidence. If the handle was spread between several groups or individuals working in the Phillipines, that would account for the volume.

Some keywords (especially specialised legal and medical ones) can pay out highly enough that employing human agents at a point in the chain might be worthwhile:

Remember - million to one chances happen nine times out of ten.

Still, I guess that'd I'd feel it a bit freaky considering that this just happens to be the person who greeted you with your first smack (the manual kind, boyo) as if it was all your fault...
