Sweeps Voice Acting
Sorry if this topic has been done before, but wouldn't it have been interesting if Clive Revill and Hal Rayle had voiced the poor, misunderstood flunkies?
Certainly would have reinforced the notion they were the Insecticons.
On another note, do you all think most kids would have noticed if said voice actors had done the Sweeps?

I surely wouldn't have noticed. Finding out that Prime and Ironhide were done by the same person was enough to blow my mind in and of itself when I was a kid; a voice like Kickback's (which surely would have sounded different from Insecticon voice effects) never would have struck a chord with me.

That doesn't sound like Shrapnel, does it?

"There seems to be something wrong with Cyclonus' voice."
"Yes; he sounds like Starscream."
- Two sweeps from "Starscream's Ghost"
A bit of irony, considering the next time the sweeps would encounter Starscream, THEY sounded like HIM (in Ghost in the Machine)

I never did like that part of "Ghost in the Machine". They've probably got at least a half-dozen other voice actors in the studio - one of 'em BESIDES Chris Latta couldn't just record that one Sweep's line? What's worse is that Latta, who's obviously capable of altering his voice (see Wheeljack, Defensor), sounds almost exactly like Starscream when he delivers the line. Read the script, people!

"Why, why is that funny?"Originally posted by Sheba:
Funniest Sweeps ep was "The Webworld." Scourge was NOWHERE to be seen (at least, he never talks if he IS there ) because NONE of the Sweeps talk with his voice. They all sound different.

Sure would have reinforced the point, but none of us would have noticed til now, and kids aren't smart enough to pick up on stuff like that unless you have traits like Shrapnel's echo, echo involved.
Interesting trivia in case anyone here doesn't know it already; Clive Revill was also the voice of the Emperor in his brief appearance in Empire Strikes Back.
