Thank you T, I really appreciate the praise and support from everyone. That was a really enjoyable one to write, but these days nothing beats writing about Binaltech as you well know!

Brazilian Green/Purple Gears article

Post by Maz »

Hey guys,

Here's one of two articles I've just put up on Masterforce.org. This one's the green and purple Brazilian Gears article/review. It's been a while since I've done a minibot article, but trust me, PLENTY more to come. Hope you enjoy it:

Brazilian Metallic Blue/Yellow Windcharger article

Post by Maz »

Hey folks,

Here's the second of the two articles I've put up on Masterforce.org tonight. The metallic blue and yellow Windcharger (Camaro) from Brazil. As I said before, plenty more minibot articles on MFO are on the way. Hope you like this one:

Or you can view them both from the frontpage at http://www.masterforce.org

Hi there,

I'm afraid the site layout and various links aren't my department as it's not my site, but yeah lots of work required.

The domain and loads of the content has just shifted for probably the second time in 6 months so everything needs a little re-jigging. Not everything has been the same since they swirched from MFO 4.3 to MFO 5.

Should all be functioning soon.

If there's likely to be a bunch of articles, I can merge stuff into a big thread in this forum (and prune the off-topic discussion in this one off into a thread somewhere else).

We'd also be happy (and interested) to mirror your articles in the Toys section of the site at TFArchive if you'd be interested.

Your idea about making one thread, cropping the other conversation, merging it etc is awesome, I really appreciate you doing that for me and I can't thank you enough.

I don't understand what you mean by mirroring them in the toys section. Do you mean links or do you want whole articles there as well?

BTW, folks, after the thread merge the separate discussion about articles & essays can still be found here.

We can mirror a copy of articles (including images, etc) if you'd like, adding contact details and linking to other places with your articles from there.

If you've already agreed to publish stuff on a particular site or sites, don't worry about it. It was just a thought.

Yeah there is an agreement of sorts like that with Source and MFO where they want the stuff exclusive to their site. Thank you for the offer though, you've been nothing but helpful throughout!

BT-09 Binaltech SWINDLE Article (long...)

Post by Maz »

Hey guys,

I absolutely LOVED writing this one, and if nothing else, check out the wacky pictures at the end. I hope my enthusiasm for this piece comes across. It's one of my favourite articles so far.

I hope you guys like that one.

BT-06 Binaltech TRACKS Article (Yellow + Blue)

Post by Maz »

Hey guys,

Here's an absolutely huge article I've written on the two Binaltech Tracks releases.

Be warned, there are over 100 pics and it is enormously pic-heavy. I've found that if you read as you go along, by the time you get to the end the pics should have loaded.

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it:

Er, I think I'll check it out when I get to a faster connection...

Seriously, it would be useful to have thumbnails in the main article body, as there's no way of telling which pics are of most interest whilst reading until they're downloaded.

I've been telling him that for months... As interesting his articles are, the load-heavy pics are a turn-down.

Well I'm sorry you feel that way, man. And yes I have been hearing similar complaints for a while, but there has been more positive response so I have been reluctant to do anything about it, which I know is still not the best attitude.

The fact is I hate articles with thumbnails, this is how I most like reading reviews and hence mine are set out in the same way.

VicegripX sugested that I do the articles the same way as I am, except spread them out over a series of pages, which is a good idea....

Alternatively, I thought maybe I could do one or two main pictures (the essential ones that I like the most) as standard, but then make thumbnails undeneath of the less important extra ones...and maybe then I wouldn't have to spread over a few pages.

It's upsetting to think that your enjoyment of the article was wrecked by the wait for the pictures, I was hoping people would really like this one.

Wonderful article as always, Maz.

I for one do not mind the pics in the articles, but then again I've got DSL and it speeds through.

Brilliant job again and I can't wait to see the next one.

BT-10 Binlatech Grimlock article

Post by Maz »

Hey guys,

My BT-10 article on Grimlock is now up on TFSource:
http://www.tfsource.com/articles/BT10.html

I have now halved the pic load between full size and thumbnails in order to make the articles a little more accessible to those with different connections.

All the best, hope you like.
