Its amazing how stupid Target employees can be. I think I may purchase a rice steamer then return the box full of paper shreddings. I mean come on now. Obviously this is more of an embarrasment upon Target than anything. Somebody is sleeping on the job.

Actually, the person who said "Actual product may vary" =

But seriously, if the returned product does not match the box art in any way, how can someone with two functioning eyes allow this type of scam?

Man, that's just wrong. Flat out wrong. If I ever saw that in progress, I'd rat the person out or if I saw that on a shelf, I'd inform an employee.

Simple. you got 87 boxes to clear by lunch. That arsey middle manager is putting the pressure on so he can slim up the gressy pole.

Many toys are 'build it your self' or have to be put together or just transform.
Ya get a package you never seen before and a toy inside you have never seen before. Do you spend more than 20 seconds examining the insides (when it's so tricky to neatly replace in it's box) when lunch is approaching? Not on 5 dollars an hour you don't. Not unless your a TF fan which most of the world isn't.

I guess that the Armada Unicron in the Energon Unicron box was legit, even though, it looked weird, being in an Energon Box, I wanted that Orange Unicron so bad, to be like the G1 Unicron that I got it anyway.
What's the use?

So returns counter people have the monopoly on stupidity? No other employees of that shop can be thick?

And don't make threats over the internet. It makes you look really dumb.

in this particular scenario, yes, because return people are the ones who do the returns, not people from the actual department

and if you knew me personally, i really would jam my foot up your ass

*Swoon* My hero....

Really are we talking about offended Target employees? Or cynical consumers out to stiff any shop they come across.

Working in retail is mind destroying, I wouldn't expect any regular shelf stacker to recognise each and every item in their employer's store, nor would they want to.

The blame clearly isn't on those working for the company, but the chaps who keep surreptitiously replacing goods with tat.

This is just another way of stealing, like the people 'destroying' the music business by say buying a CD making a copy and then taking advantage of a store's returns policy and asking for a refund.

Hell I bought a £70 quid shirt once, wore it for an engagement party and asked my girlfriend to take it back the next day and got my money back.

At least I washed it, reattaching the labels was a bugger though.

We're all to blame, nbecause it's obviously TF fans who are to blame, I mean who else would steal an Alternator?

I'd like to echo Wildrider's sentiments.

My wife works on the Service Desk at Wal-Mart and the amount of stuff she sees come in is astounding.

She inspects everything that comes in, but its impossible to know what everything looked like when that item was sold.

She's told me all sorts of funny and disgusting things that have happened though.

There was one guy who tried to return a tent he swore up and down that he bought there, but on the box was a K-mart price sticker and the box was clearly labeled: Manufactured for K-mart.

She's seen used underwear (unwashed), used toilet seats (unwashed) and used Pregnancy tests try to get returned.
