Yes, but the thing is that you're interested in hearing more of Operation Ivy when they're pretty much the same band as Rancid only with more SKA-styled music.

Unity

Yes, but I'd only heard a couple of songs, and thought I maybe hadn't heard their best or most original... I mean, most punk/alternative clubs play "Rock the Casbah" or "Should I Stay or Should I Go", when they're not exactly examples of the Clash at their very finest... I've heard most of Rancid's albums via a house-mate, and nothing really stood out as great to me... I'm more interested in listening to stuff I've never heard before that I may like, rather than stuff I've heard and wasn't blown away by. Rancid aren't necessarily bad, they just aren't a patch on The Damned, The Undertones, The Buzzcocks [who were actually from Manchester, another exception to the London statement], Elvis Costello & the Attractions, The Clash, The Vibrators, The Stranglers, Souxsie & the Banshees, Chelsea, Subway Sect, The Vapors, Tenpole Tudor, the Pistols' first batch of singles, etc.
