They've catered to the whims of every damned asshole that isn't satisfied with everything that's not the original ****ing cartoon. Y'all said, "Prime's not a gorilla" so you got RiD Prime. That wasn't good enough, "Prime's not a firetruck". They give you a Semi with a transforming trailer just like ole' PM Prime and you still bitch. Y'know what? SHUT UP!!!
I hope that wasn't aimed at me, I loved RiD and Beast Wars is quite good. I don't mind the names being re-used, it'll just get really old really soon if Hasbro keep bringing out a new TF series every year. I would love a stable show with more than one season and a good plot.

I'd like to see a series where Prime is dead, or never existed. I think he's just become trite.

I'd like to see how the autobots would get along without him for a change. Maybe they could be severely lacking a leader, and no suitable character shows up until a few episodes before the finale. Then he could turn things around and defeat the decepticons.

This would be a great experiment as to which side would survive without their traditional leaders. I think I'd put shockwave in charge of the Decepticons, and an entirely new character in charge of the autobots.

Orson, the Hasbro insider that posts at the 2005 boards stated that this rumor was completely untrue.

He didnt give any explanations or any other statements about it though.

So far he has been reliable and truthful when giving out information. Unless you have more information than "my friend works for hasbro and told me", i'll tend to believe him over you.

People, people. Settle down.

Further to earlier posts about Generation Zero style, characterization, etc. If there is a Generation Zero in development, all we need to do to get an idea of the series style is to look at the name.

Previous examples: -
*Beast Wars - well, duh.

*Beast Machines - see above.

*RiD - well, they were disguised. The series name is rather dodgily ripped off from G1 and is rather sub-standard compared to G1 - exactly like the series itself.

*Armada - Due to mini-cons, there are more TFs ie. an armada of TFs. Therefore, this time round, Cyclonus could have an armada of his own.

So... If we follow this logic, Generation Zero might be the G1 Cybertronian Wars before MTMTE. We might actually find out what Prime's Cybertronian alternate mode was...

Or buy War Within and see how good Transformers can be when it's not trying to sell toys...

Generation Zero was the name used by Takara for the their presentation at the Tokyo Game show.

Armada is 52 episodes total and will run till the end of 2003. The toys might be around till early 2004 when the next line of toys will start.

To celebrate 20 years of the Transformers, Hasbro is really going to get behind its product. Although rumours are sketchy, it looks like they plan to "Ultimize" the TF Universe, much like what Marvel have done with their Spiderman character. Expect to see much loved characters appearing as they would in this day and age. Rumours about the possibility of a TF movie have also been linked to this project although no-one can say for sure.
