Basically there have been plans at somepoint for any marvel character than the compnay thinks can board the hollywood cash cow since the 70's. How else to you explain Captain America, The Punisher, Fantastic Four the original Spider-man movies?

Naturally as least the post blade ones there was some concept of quality and eventhat took a Batman and Robin being made first.

If it can be milked into live action marvel has and will try.

If anyone cares, Bryan Singer, the director, says that X-Men 2 has nothing to do with the story told in "God Loves, Man Kills". Just wanted to clear that up. From what I've read in Wizard the movie looks to be more aptly titled, "Wolverine and Friends 2".

As for voices, I've had the voices of the X-Men in my head long before the movie came out and none of them sound like the actors from the movie. With Transformers it's different as I hadn't read any of the comics till after the show had run it's course so the cartoon voices are pretty much solidified in my mind.

And will Sabretooth be a mute Zombie again or a 'normal' character?

How about a very late reply?

I read somewhere that Marvel is going to rerelease GL,MK during the premiere of X2 so that would mean that the movie is based on the story.

Thanks D!

The X-men movie was money.

It damm comic book fanboys who pick on every little stupid detail and say the movie was ruined not because the kick-ass action, or the interesting sub-plot of oppression and hatred, but for the fact that wolverine and sabretooth didn't have history, or the fact that rouge didn't call mystique 'mom'. Sure the storm line was corny, but when we have a society that can tolerate mega **** like My big fat greek wedding or any movie with Jlo in it, we should certainly be able to let a little cheese slide by in an otherwise great movie.

Stop being such stuck up fanboys and just enjoy the movie for what it is worth.

I am a huge fanboy and loved the film. If Sabretooth is in a possible X3, i assume they would use his healing factor from the comics to explain, and X2 is loosely based on GL,MK. This can be figured out if you look 2 of the facts

1. Badguy Named William Stryker

2.X-men team with magneto

Actually, it's because Claremont is writing a sequel to GL,MK and it should be coming out some time this summer.

I don't hate the movie because it was different from the comics, I hate it because it was a terrible movie. Magneto's whole plan was just as weak as any of G1 Megatron's weekly schemes. Almost all the dialogue was horribly weak. And, as may others have said before, a more fitting title for the movie would have been "The Amazing Wolverine! With guest appearances by his friends the X-Men."

No, you took my suggestion the wrong way.

It was directed towards people who hated the movie because of its relation to the comic was not '100%' acurate. If your reasons for hating the movie are based soley on the movie itself, not its relation to the material it was based around, all the power to ya.

C'mon, Wolverine was the sh*t, and Famke Janssen as Jean made it worth it, but Nightcrawler will own all when X2 comes out, oh yes.

Her character was no less vapid than Cyclops, or Storm, or Toad, or Sabretooth, or Mystique. Anyone notice a problem here? Half the characters in this movie were incredibly weak.

Nightcrawler seems to be quite OOC from what I've seen of X2. He's more like Ultimate Nigtcrawler.

That's the problem with movies like this, ppl get slighted. That's why individual superhero movies work instead.

I really like the first X-Men movie. Sure it had its flaws, but as an X-Men fan I thought Singer did a fab job with all the characters and made the story interesting, and not dumbing it down like B&R. X2 will definitely be a better movie than the first, and judging from what I read from the movie novel, it might even become the greatest superhero movie ever.

I like the movie but then aging I used to be a huge X-men fan back in the day

But yeah I forgot about the movie until I watched Jay and silent bob strikes back the other day where they said something about the movie

Also I think that Xmen2 should be alright and as for T3 I just hope it is as good as T2
