Scramble City was made in Japan instead of Movie, which Japanese didn't get in 1986.

Zone is the Japanese last animated G1 show. It was supposed to be first episode of new series but it was never continued, or something.

For more information of Japanese G1 series, ask in Japanese Only Series forums.

All rumours about unaired US G1 episodes are, well, just rumours.

Beast Wars was good, and i really liked how the related it the G1, but G1 gave birth to the whole thing and I think it will always be the best, it was also the most serious (in plot). The worst must be Beast Machines, now that one was dreadful!!

G1 most serious in plot? You mean like mermaids, robots turning into trees, Transformers in king Arthur's court, Scraplets, aliens whose power's super-singing, evil disco, Junkions, car-wash of doom, etc?

Apart from the fact it didn't give them to the Marvel comic. They were developed by Marvel, and then used in the cartoon and comic.

Yeah I knew that, that's where all the superpowers came from

like Skywarp's teleporting. But you know what I mean, the cartoon is just for a younger audience.

BTW you can't put such silly stories in comics, because they just wont sell

could say the same for Beast Wars/Machines eg multiple characters swapping sides then swapping back again, a retarded robot, how many creative ways u could destroy waspinator, killer fruit, a floating head, a flying wolf falling in love with a black widow spider and a rat falling in love with a talking plant!!!

oh and b4 ne1 asks which i prefer i enjoy Transformers as a WHOLE!!!!!!!

G1 was all we had back then sometimes it was just a half hour toy commercial but it provided memorable characters, one liners and entertainment. I think it tried to educate on world energy resources and season 3 saw a change in format from Earth based stories about Optimus Prime and co to galaxy based to see how the Transformers have chamged the universe. I enjoyed that alot and would like to see some transformers series to return to that. Beast wars and Machines were made to appeal to a totally new generation and Robots in disguise was a filler series. Armada has sort of jumped on the recent craze bandwagon of collecting things as in Pokemon or the other stuff.

Ok you're right there, some things were kind of stupid, but beast machines was so boring!!! I mean meg's had this hell of a body, but he chose to be hooked to sth, and send the most useless troops, which were awful in looks, to attack. Not to mention the two wheeled rat, i mean what were they thinking of??

Megs never used his body, Tankor never used his missiles, we usually got melee combat from the Maximals, that was 1990's politically correct stuff for you. They cant get away with stuff like they could in G1, though Mainframe did push the envelope with a few things in its shows.

You know what I'm going to see Beastwars/machines !! I hear this serie has some very kewl characterdevelopment and has a great story, but people have to understand some people just do not like the reboot look. Seriously that's why I didn't look on television for about a year ago.

I would like to see a few one shots in Dreamwaves ongoing G1 series. Stuff to build characters. Keep it in the spirit of original Marvel G1 instead of long drawn out story arcs and to be continued at the end of every page.
Also the violence issue i thought of hit me when i rewatched 'dark Awakening'. First we see Arcee take a shot in her knee and yell, Optimus shoots Hot rod vicously, then he shoots the other Autobots and humans present, later we see him and Hot rod fight when he grapples Hot rod by the back the stresses cause Hot rod's front plate to crack and leak green fluids, Hot rod tosses Optimus against the wall causing his arm to break off. And then when we saw Dinobot going through 6 Predacons in Beast wars all he got were a few bruises and burns.

That said i hope Transformers sticks to cel animation it allows for a wider range of characters, alot more locations and depending on the writer and animators imagination alot of great set pieces. Beast wars and machines were good but they were restricted, in Machines the maximals never left Cybertropolis, and in Wars the scene rarely shifted from the bases or the jungle/river. CGI Transformers should be kept for feature movies or one off specials.

Me too. And when they do a multi-part story, I'd like them to actually think of number of issues that story will last and not made one which goes through 6 issues, when it could easily be done in 3.

You do that. Don't care that those 'robots' have fleshy parts, Optimus is monkey, animation looks like Reboot, just enjoy the story. I stopped watching it in the beginning of third Season because of those small issues, horrible Polish translation and one thing that really pisses me of in Beast Wars, and now I wish I hadn't quit.
