Current toy laws in the US prevent the sale of realistic-looking toy guns, unless they have an orange cap on them, which probably wouldn't work for Megatron.

It wouldn't make him look and worse, to be honest. Mind, I've be surprised if something so fragile could pass all the drop laws and **** like that.

Energon Shockblast = ugly AM Elite homage. No proper alt modes... folded up robot, stretched out robot. I wouldn't shoplift that thing...

What about Japan? Could I get the Shockwave G1 figure there?

The design for Shockwave was originally licensed from another toy company, so it's very unlikely he'll be reissued.

Oh, and I've merged the two topics on Shockblast, putting the Hasbro link into the first post...

I wouldn't mind having an orange cap on either of the barrels.

Default Megatron

I think that Japan will most likely re-release the G1 Shockwave, because in the Minibot Collection booklet he's listed under catalog. G1 Megatron is the best Megatron!!!

You mean the catalgoue with the reissues that lists the Japanese 1985 releases? That catalogue?

Actually.. G1 Megatron HAD been reissued. He was reissued in Japan a little over a year ago in Japan. I was able to order in two of these figures, one being the regular version with the red legs, and one being the E-Hobby version with the Blue legs. If you want a G1 megatron you'd have to try to see if you can still get it from someone overseas, or at a Transformers Convention, or even online. Unfortunately he will not be reissued in the states. In 2002 Botcon there was some controversy over the reissue of Megatron in the States and it had been completely thrown out the window by Hasbro, especially after looking at the pictures of the colors they would have had to recolor him as. It was Horrid, like watching a freak show. They had him painted all sorts of yellow-orange color with green or purple, I can't remember but it was terrible. If only these stupid cops around here would be able to distinguish a kid with a toy gun saying bang bang, versus an adult with a real gun with a mask on, a money bag in his hand and running away. I tell you, a lot of America's laws are over people being stupid. Such as the whole case with a woman at a McDonalds that burned her tongue on coffee. Even though the cup said, "Caution may be hot", she claimed it was boiling hot scalding her mouth and was awarded some 2 million dollars. People are getting dumber and dumber these days in many ways.
